How about a dedicated forum for LCs, so us 'older RT' owners can sort the wheat from the chaff - you decide.

Re: Ride videos
Great bit of nostalgia for me as I lived and worked up there for four years in the late seventies, and those 'torpedo piers' used to sway alarmingly when fired!

R1200 RT 2007 Headlight assy
Hi all, this plea is a bit of a long shot. I'm in the process of Frenchifying the above model and will have need of a complete assy but dipping to the right. An unsuccessful trawl here has shown most crashed bikes have serious front end damage so no luck there so far. The same in UK has drawn a blan...

Dash
I need to change the electronic dash on a 2007 R1200RT SE from miles to kilometres. Simple on my Honda but no mention of how in BMW riders handbook. Can it be done without visit to dealer please?

Final drive unit
2007 RT.
At the junction of the final drive unit main bearing and the axle dust cap I have slight bubbling of the finish to the casting. I know it's cosmetic but the rest of the bike is superb so is there a fix for this I wonder?
Tks
John

Re: Adjusting Headlight for LHD or RHD
Thanks all for the replies, I hope you won't mind but this comes in the form of a 'round robin' reply, The bike came with a headlight protector and from the pics was probably an NN part as it looks the same and the last owner was, I know, a customer of his. Looking at the area of plastic t...

Hi Dave,
I noticed you have yet to get a reply on this. I am in the same boat with a 2007 model and wondered if you had found any further info from other sources?

Newbie
Hi all. A former tow time GS owner I went down the Honda route when the Crossrunner was introduced in 2011. Still own and love it...however...still can't resist the call of the boxer!

Service light - switch off
I have bought a 2007 SE and it has the light on. I intend to do my own servicing as I previously owned two GSs so am familiar with the model. Does anyone know how to turn off the service light please?
