Re: Helmet Camera
I had the same issues and settled on a Sena 20S radio and a Sena Prism. Mounted the 20S on the left of my Schuberth C2 and the Prism on the right. The 20S controls the Prism including taking pictures and changing the mode. Can do pictures, time lapse, video a...

Re: RT LC Top lateral panel tabs
I had the right side tabs broken off after a service by the shop. They seem so flimsy that I made some from Aluminum and glued them on with JB Weld also. Seems when the person putting the panels on does not align the push pins correctly over their respective rubber grommet, ther...

Re: How many of you own a second bike?
I currently have a 1974 BMW R90S I bought in late 1974, a 2010 BMW K1300S bought new, and the 2015 waterboxer also bought new. Love all three, but ride the RT the most.

Re: How many of you own a second bike?
Currently all BMW's. Original 1974 R90S from new, 2010 K1300S from new, and a 2015 R1200RTw from new. Had over two dozen 'off brand' cycles, but have settled on shaft drive BMW's.

Re: High octane fuel - worth the extra for the LC?
I have tried a lower octane fuel when Premium was not available for both my K1300S and R1200RTw. The fuel mileage drops about 10% due to the useless alcohol in the blend. I did not see any change in the bike otherwise. I don't horse it in general. Usually loo...

Re: Which bluetooth?
I purchased a 2015 R1200RT in 2015 with all the bells and whistles except the BMW driving lights. Along with it I got two BMW bluetooth helmet radios. They work okay, but have no range other than rider to passenger. My son and I are heading of to Alaska on BMWs this Su...

Re: 2014 LC Final Drive Boot Hole
I had a similar situation on my 1974 R90S back in the late 90's. I used Liquid Electrical Tape (black) to fill and smooth the hole. It tool a few coats and some patients. About half a dozen years later I had the rear assembly apart to check the clutch and lub...

Re: What other bikes do you own?
I am very content with my three BMW's. A 1974 R90S I bought late '74, a 2010 K1300S bought early '10, and a 2015 R1200RTw bought early '15. Hard to say which is my favorite. The R90S has so many memories (got married and went on honeymoon on it for one). The ...

Re: Possible Front daytime LEDs for R1200RT
I put my Darla lights, Canopener, and Billie brake light on myself. Had to remove six panels and the speaker unit on the right side of the bike. Used the YouTube video on accessing the air filter as a guide. It was not difficult but time consuming and does re...

Re: Possible Front daytime LEDs for R1200RT
I paid 824 for my Darla lights with Canopener and Billie brake light. Is a bit high but goes in very easily. No additional wiring or switches to install. Fully programmable for brightness and activation. I really like the lights flash when the horn ...

Re: Possible Front daytime LEDs for R1200RT
I just installed the Clearwater Lights Darla with Canopener and Billie brake light. Am very happy with the results and the way the controls work out. Might be a bit spend but I see it as a great asset. Love the way the lights flash with the horn....

New Member and new R1200RTW
Am adding a 2015 R1200RTW to the stable this April. Ordered it second week of November and it arrived at the shop two weeks ago. Have to await for the abundance of snow to subside before picking it up. My wife has decided to ride on the back rather than drive her own bi...
