Best leave it for now, don't alter your plans. Will look at it again when more folks are available.

Re: 2024 North Yorkshire (England) Meet
I'm floating the idea of having a ride out this Wednesday 4th September 2024.
Meet at The Motorist (near Sherburn in Elmet), then ride to The World Peace Cafe (near Pocklington) and back.
Would this be of interest to anyone.

Hi Rusty, what kind of availability do you have, are we looking at mid-week or weekend.
Mid-week would probably suit the old man better, I can do either.

Re: BMW R1200RT Twin Cam For Sale.
Our Gee lives a matter of 3 minutes walking distance away from me. I've seen the motorcycle in the flesh and it is stunning. If you would like a Twin Cam, IMO, you won't go wrong purchasing this one, you probably won't find a better example. Don't be put off by it being a private sale. A BMW warrant...

Re: Fork Seals
AFAIK, if the motorcycle is fitted with ESA, the front suspension/shock absorber damping can be adjusted to Hard, Normal & Soft.rickmeister wrote: ↑Thu Aug 29, 2024 4:04 amIs the front suspension also controlled by the electronic wizardry suspension adjustment (Hard, Normal and Soft).

Re: UK Annual Meet 2025
For me, Thirsk is only 30 minutes away from home. I'd consider attending the usual day ride out in the Yorkshire Dales on Saturday 31st May 2025.

The oil spec. for a Camhead is API SF / ACEA A2 or better.
The spec. of the Motul oil linked above is API SN / ACEA A3.

Re: Best oil for your bike
Looking at this video reminded me of the following. As per the BMW Rider's Manual, the engine oil spec. is API SF / ACEA A2, or better, with various viscosity ranges based on the ambient temperature. No mention of JASO MA or MA2 for wet clutches. The 2012 Camhead has a car like dry clutch. The BMW M...
