Yikes -- it would take a lot for me to put that on my RT!
On the subject of the Nav 5: Has anyone found a discrete way to lock the unit into the cradle (ideally along the lines of what is done on the K1600)? For me, this is a higher priority than glare reduction.

Re: MICHELIN Pilot Road 4 GT
Stelyn, I have stuck to the BMW recommended pressures of 36 front and 42 rear riding solo and have never had reason to change. I might try a little less if I do a track day when the snow decides to disappear here in New England, but I haven't gone on the track with this bike...yet. And just to menti...

Re: MICHELIN Pilot Road 4 GT
I had PR 3s on my K1600 and really liked them so I put them on my Guzzi too. Now I have PR4s on my new RT and they continue to be excellent sport riding tires and very controlled in the wet. I don't have enough miles on the 4s yet to offer a report on durability but I do tend to trust Mich...

Re: Gear Shift Pro
I had it installed as a dealer after-sale measure. From the various reports I've read on the Forum and elsewhere, I think my unit isn't operating properly downshifting, but does work well upshifting from 4th to 5th and 5th to 6th. When you are really getting on it and want to accelerate briskly as i...

Re: RT Models since 1978
My first was a 1997. After going 8300 miles out west I wanted a sixth gear and cruise control. Sold that bike and got an LT because the wife liked the ride of the LT. Took the LT to Alaska, great ride but the bike was way top heavy. Sold the LT and bought a 2010 RT. Was very happy till I heard abou...

Re: A ride through the Hils
My pleasure, Spencer - but I must say that it was perhaps a bit too warm - it was 36 deg C at 1000 on that morning....rising up to 43 deg C in the middle of the day! Nice video -- who knew there were so many curving roads in Australia? And good thing neither you your you r...

Re: Right hand switch cluster
No problem Weston, your welcome. I hope your weather is better than here in France or indeed the UK Update from here in Boston: dealer reports the switch is on back order from Germany. No information yet regarding when the replacement units will arrive. But in some respect this is not a c...

Re: Right hand switch cluster
Thanks RTman10 yeah my bike was build end of April. What you have said pretty much confirms what the dealership said which also confirms to me Williams Motorcycles of Manchester have their finger on the pulse +1 for the dealership. Checked with my dealer today in Boston and she confirmed there is a...

Re: Optional Extras
I just purchased a 2014. I've had a Touratech Flat tank bag on my other RTs but the one made for the 2014 is small. What have you found that works well? Taking a big trip this summer around the western states. Having a tank bag for small things and a map top is very handy. Ann and I will ...

Re: GS or Rt
You asked for opinions and advice, so here's mine: I too have a 29" inseam and am totally comfortable on the RT with the low seat. The GS is just too problematic, especially if you find yourself in an awkward or panic situation and end up dropping the bike. It could hurt, it would undoubtedly b...
