Hello, As mentioned in my Helibar riserfor sale post I am also selling the BMW weather protection kit for the R1200RT. I do not know if it will fit the 1250. Complete with fixing screws. I'll have a dig and may be able to find fitting instructions but no really needed as you can see from the shapes ...

Helibars Bar risers for R1200RT
Hello, I am selling my Helibar risers as they do not fit my new bike (Not RT). Full kit complete with "extractor" tools for easy installation. Comes with full instructions and see no reason why they shouldn't fit a 1200 up to change to 1250. Having said that, they may fit the 1250 model bu...

Re: Rider peg lowering kit
Thanks for that. We're similar height.
I'll just have to just buy it and hope for the best.
I can always re-sell it if it's no use.

Boxflyer, thanks for the link, good video.
I'm looking for something UK or EU before I chance getting kit from USA.

Rider peg lowering kit
Hello Having a bit of a problem with my hip at present. Eased things somewhat by fitting Sargent seat on the bike's highest setting. But after a while it's extremely painful lifting right foot off the peg to put it on the ground. I was thinking that lowering the pegs may help as it alters the knee j...

Re: SatNav needed
All sorted now.
Thanks to those that emailed me.
Managed to get a good deal from Grimsby Motorrad on a new Nav VI, and ebay were offering £50 off.
Looking around I paid less than some have for a 2nd hand unit.

SatNav needed
Hello, looking to replace the Zumo 660 on SWMBO's CB1000 as it's playing up and rebooting during trips. She inherited it when I upgraded to a Nav V on my RT. I don't want to go to Nav VI yet as I am considering the 21 RT1250 with TFT screen in which case Anne will use my Nav V. But we don't use blue...

Re: Viewing routes in Google Earth
Hello, many thanks for all your replies. We only use GE to check on the "condition" or suitability of a particular route either for our bikes or when we holiday with the caravan. I can do the same using GE but the advantage with viewing a route from MS is that you can follow the roads easi...

Viewing routes in Google Earth
New laptop and I'm still using Mapsource. I know, I'll get around to using Basecamp sometime. But for now I have a problem. On my old laptop I used to view the route in Google Earth, to check on minor roads etc, and I seem to remember when it went to GE Pro I had to delete the word "p...

Re: To Warrant or not to Warrant
Not sure about extended warranty. In theory you shouldn't need it, BUT ! First bike 2014: Just out of warranty, couple of months, problem with "something" )can't remember) on forks. Some sensor I think, anyway needed forks replaced. BMW changed forks and I paid about £100 labour. Move on t...

Re: An Admiral Gesture
My car insurer, Churchill, have emailed me asking for my estimated weekly mileage during the lockdown period. When they adjust my annual estimated mileage I may get a refund payable within 30days.
Not heard anything from Bennetts for the bikes insurances.

No, going to SORN both bikes today. Can't see being able to go riding for at least a month, possibly more.
