I've had the same issue with my '05 RT but it's not all the time which is annoying. So I just go off the mileage now.

Cheers for the info. Had the switch changed at the local dealers in the end. The switch then worked spot on showing the various options on the display only then to find the ESA didn't want to work at the rear either. I have had a similar issue with my '05 RT and it is the switch which has given up the ghost. I have managed to get a new switch for a lot less than the dealer charges. All I've got to do now is work out how to remove the old one and get the new one fitted. If anyone has replaced the switch any hints...

I'm taking mine off the bike over winter and getting them powder coated along with a couple of other pieces. Possibly going to get the wheels done at the same time.

Yes it is definitely to check your oil level. Had this on my '05 RT last month topped the oil up and warning symbol gone.
