I hear you guys. There's a whole lot of things learned and discovered as I walked down this path.
I guess what I'm trying to say is - if you want to replicate what was accomplished in the video link I shared. There is a way to make it happen on current generation R1200RT LCs.

GS-911 Data Logging / Video Overlay
I recently looked into some GPS overlay software (RaceRender, Garmin VIRB Edit, DashWare) for some moto ride videos. During this review, I discovered that I could possibly include car/bike information (e.g., rpm/tach, speed, throttle). For the vehicle in use, this requires some type of data logger. ...

Re: SW-MOTECH EVO Tank Bag Video
I just mounted the EVO City bag on my RT. I followed the directions to the letter and was disappointed to find that the center line of the bag was off relative to the center line of the bike. The locking mechanism (that clips to the tank ring) fits into the grove in the bottom o...

Re: Still no locking system or gadget???
Prototype up and running: [attach=1] I have drilled a 3mm hole in the back of the holder - accurate so that when a 3mm piano-wire is inserted into the hole - the whole locking mechanism is locked. [attach=2] Seems to work like planned ^-^ GOOD JOB!!! Really like that locking mod...

Some Time-lapse Video
Went to Dallas, Texas this past month to attend the CEDIA (Custom Electronics Design & Installation Association) conference. Took the RT there via Austin and Ft. Worth. Good time visiting friends and checking out the area. Did an Iron Butt ride there and back. Here are couple of timelapse videos...

Re: Installed Dashcam . . . so far, so good.
They are slightly different things aren't they? One a dash cam for recording traffic/accidents/Ronnie Pickerings and one a camera for movies. I know they can overlap a bit. I was in Argentina in April. All the lads doing the TransAmerica were kitted out with helmet cams. With the comms as well cras...

Re: Seat Options
I'm an inch taller, but same inseam and likely heavier. I"m a little worried about the firmness of the Sargent. I had a Corbin once, and I couldn't sell it fast enough. I know the Sargent isn't that hard, but do you know if it's in that ballpark? I can actually get the RDL for cheaper than the...

Re: Seat Options
Traded into a 2015 RT mid May this year and recently clocked 12k miles. I'm 5' 8" w/ a 30" inseam and felt -OK- with the standard height seat. After the first 3k or so miles, I decided to go with the standard height Sargent. I had a Sargent seat previously on a 2004 K12...

Installed Dashcam . . . so far, so good.
Decided to try out a motorcycle dash cam (Innovv K1) on my 2015 RT. Here are a couple of videos posted on YouTube. I've published a few other videos as well on the same channel. Will follow up with more detail as time allows. https://youtu.be/akHMe0kC7is https://youtu.b...
