Werks Quiet Ride and Ilium Bar Risers
I just made a double change to my RTLC by replacing my stock screen with the quiet ride and adding the bar risers. What a change to my ride. All the comments about the quiet ride were confirmed yesterday when I went out for a 100 mile ride. I could actually hear the eng...

Re: New seat - options
Has anyone changed out the standard riders seat out on their RTLC? I noticed that after a 300 mile day at the weekend my backside was decidedly numb when I got off the bike. The rest of my body was fine, no aches and pains or sore muscles....just an numb bum! So who is using an aftermarke...

Re: Handle Bar Risers
Asanidler, I would like to get the Ilium Bar Risers on my 15 RT. I'm curious how much of a difference they would make to my riding posture. 1'5" higher and back doesn't seem like much, but it sounds like it did for you. I don't have a heat gun but was pro...

Re: Opinions on LC
I came from a 14 GS to a 15 RT after test-riding the RT. I fell instantly in love with the RT as it was much nimbler, AND I could actually place both feet flat on the ground. For my riding style it fits me perfectly.

Re: Heated seat on an LC RT
Mine is a 15 and has worked very well with only 2 bars activated. Just replaced it with a Sargent heated seat and hope that works just the same. Won't be able to try it until all the road salt is gone.

Re: 2nd Powerlet Port for R1200RT LC?
Does anybody know if that second powerlet outlet independent of the CAN Bus? I had a second one installed for my 14 GSLC, and it was independent of the Can Bus which gave me the ability to use the full battery power to operate such things as Gerbing jacket and my tire pump in case of a fla...

Re: Sargent Seat - R1200RT LC
Before switching to the 15 RTLC, I owned a 14 GSLC, and purchased the Sargent seat for the GS. It really made a difference for longer trips over 200 miles. It may take a few hundred miles to begin breaking in, but really liked the Sargent product, and the price was much better in...

Re: Cold Starting Issue
The majority of the time my 2015 RT will start on the first try. Every now and then it will require two tries, but never beyond that. That's if its still warm, or sitting overnight or all week - doesn't matter.

Seat Options
Just picked up my new 2015 RT last week, and rode 420 miles on Sunday. It seemed after a 100 miles I was squirming in my seat. I am coming from a 14 GS, and purchased a Sargent seat and was a nice improvement, but thought the RT stock seat would be better. I'm also find...

Re: Pick it up 8/5
Hi. New bike brilliant I'm sure you are going to enjoy her. My only bit of advice is run the bike in properly. Modern engines are manufactured to very high tolerances but that still need a running period. The first 100 miles go real gently get to know the bike and scrub the new tyres in. Then start...

Re: R1200 Accessories
Thank you all for your feedback on the accessories. Coming from the GS world I had sump plate, radiator guards, and valve cover protection. Are these areas of the bike less of a concern due to more inherent protection with the RT?

R1200 Accessories
Hi all, Trading in my Wethead GS for a new RT after taking for a test ride. What a difference. Anyway, curious what accessories are a "must have" for the RT besides the top box which I already have ordered. I would like to hear who feels that certain accessori...

Re: Dealer cost on top case?
In the US the list price is $1,600 for the 49L top case. They were just telling me today that they would give me a near their cost discount of around $1,200. They are very pricey. I'm buying a new RT in the process. Hopefully, that provides some idea of their ...
