I have a US specd '15, per my dealer, all US bikes are full option. That said my bike is specd w Nav prep and radio, but I dont actually have the Nav V unit. Debating if its worth getting Nav V. So on the RT when you are manipulating...

Re: Plastic key Function
Having recently purchased a second hand r1200rt, I was supplied with a plastic key. Does any body know its function. I am unable to locate a reference to it in the manual. Cheers Gerry To add to what RTman said, it doesnt have the full range of the FOB key. It must be placed, or wedged if you will ...

'15 RT = no ticket
So I made a right turn on a red light that had a "No Right Turn On Red" sign. I honestly didn't see it and was in an unfamiliar area. I was promptly pulled over by California's finest. I was sweating the fact I didn't have my registration, proof of insurance or drivers lic on me. The cop a...

Re: RTLC Remapped
personally, I would much prefer the peak torque to remain where it is. The higher torque at lower revs make riding two up much more effortless than having to rev the butt of the bike. Don't think my wife would be too impressed with the howl of the engine at 8000rpm, (although I'm sure I would when ...

Re: Running in
What are peoples thoughts on running the rt in? I followed the <5k rpm BMW recommendation. I did my own service w a 911gs. The engine oil was pristine looking, but the drain plug had quite a bit of ferrous material on it. The FD was a different story. It was incorrectly filled to 200ml from the fac...

Re: Agricultural clunk
False ones aren't the issue - finding the real one is the challenge! I came from a Ducati, which conveniently had a neutral between every pair of gears (moving in either direction through the box). Now I have a bike that only has neutral on add days of the week... +1, of the var...
