Good news, still a bit of a shame it wasn't found in a ditch laid on top of the arsehole who stole it and who subsequently died of hyperthermia...

Doctors, draughtsmen and dentists used to be the A typical owners of BMW''s in the 80's.  I was one of them!!!

Re: How many RT LC owners actually have problems / issues?

So why do you believe this is a premium brand? What to you, defines a premium brand? If you mean overpriced, then I fully agree. What other brands of motorcycle would you define as a premium brand? The bikes seem no more reliable or long lived than it's mainstream rivals. Before I shelled out for m...

Got the full 3M kit all over mine, saved a few pillion boot scuffs on the panniers already and in a few years, just remove and new blemish free paint underneath!  Win, win, chicken dinner!

It may be XL, but not for a tourer, Oxford do a specific cover and caters for large topbox/panniers.

Re: Anyone Using BMW's fuel additive?

I recall on K100LT that the Bosch fuel pump bearings used to gum up and cause excessive wear.
Then again, mine was 28 yes old with 66k when I sold it for my RT.......?

Re: 1200 RT Pulls when brakes applied in a turn

Don't forget the shaft drive effect, close throttle quickly and it's arse will lift up thus getting the bike to sit up slightly and higher c of g = less turning.
Gun it and arse down, lower c of g.

Best not to brake at all whilst steering, shovel excess speed off before entering the bendπŸ˜€

Is it too late to buy the bike at auction, get it repaired and pocket what's left?  Or even buy,fix and sell, make more money to put towards a new one?????
