Re: Summer waterproofs
I did try the badlands (last years ) and it is a great jacket but with the vents on the upper area looking small it put me off. I have a winter jacket and a summer mesh, so i suspect the best solution is an over jacket waterproof. I was just trying to keep the gear light

Summer waterproofs
Help, Looking for some first hand experience. I tend to run hot at the best of times but when i tour i need a jacket with big vents ideally on the shoulder and upper arm. I also need waterproof and don't want to have to insert a drop in liner or an overshot. so that leaves a goretex laminate jacket....

Re: Shoei neotec mod

Shoei neotec mod
Just thought i would share a little modification to my shoei neotec. I hot conditions the vents don't allow enough cool air into the helmet as my bonce compresses the lining as it should. I have simply stuck some medium density draft type excluder to the helmet to allow the inner lining and the hard...

Re: Shoei Neotec
Spot on, Air can't get in if it can't go anywhere, so if you head is blocking the flow through then you don't get any cool air. Just lifting the lining off the hard inner poly shell makes huge difference.

Shoei Neotec
Just a little tip for those like me who find that during the summer months you get a very hot bonce even with vents open. The inner lining settles on your head and therein effectively shut off the cool air around the head. If you place single sided foam 6mm deep strips between your lining and the ha...

Re: Dehumidifier for drying the bike
I use a very small dehumidifier in my garage as the wife has a tumble drier in situ. it costs about 15£ and does the job really well. After about 6 hours it will have taken a mug full of water out of the air. [size=21px !important][size=19px !important]500ml AirPro Mini Compact Air Dehumidifier for ...
