Re: R1200RT LC accessories for sale (UK)
Cheers Paul
You will definitely have some screws left over, mainly because there were two spares and also because I accidentally sent you the screw off my bike that holds the original fairing on by the foot peg !

Re: Latest K1600
I switched from a 1600 to a RT because the 200 pounds weight saving made low speed handling pleasant Each to their own and I understand your reasoning, however the reverse gear is genius (albeit copied from Honda) and works very well making manoeuvreing easy. I even tried feet up low speed U turns ...

Re: Latest K1600
And one of the main reasons I changed from a K1600 to the RT was the terrible transmission lash at low speed and a clang with every gear change. Maybe they have sorted it. I agree about the engine though, can't be beaten. The gearbox with quick shifter was a delight to use and v...

Re: Latest K1600
Nice day today so I popped up to Bahnstormers in Maidenhead for coffee and a peek at some bikes, amongst them was the latest version of the K1600, it now has the gearshift assist and a reverse gear, just what it needed but still a heavyweight, for me, at any rate. Did you take it out thou...

Re: Any one tried a SHAD top box?
Hi John I had a Givi monolock on my Superblackbird and it was ok but I found the lid closing mechanism rather fiddly and temperamental. I like this Shad box and the colour matched lid was a plus for me. The handle has a nice damped action when it opens and it is easy to use. As I said earl...

Re: Any one tried a SHAD top box?
Noticed In some of the previous photos that the mount was missing a part of the stock rack. I almost went that way as well, until I figured out the issue with the spacers needing to pass through the silver part of the rack. I believe the mount is supposed to look like the attached. It is indeed mis...

Re: Any one tried a SHAD top box?
Finally got around to fitting the top box, have shown a few pics of the process. To be honest the instructions were about the same as some IKEA furntiture but sorted it out over a cup of coffee and a digestive. ReallY pleased with the result and the colour match and don't regret not buying OEM.
