I would doubt that the Scanner will work with Motoscan (visit there site and ask the question). As to the location of the plug, it is located on the right-side behind the battery cover.

Re: Radiator guards - RT LC
In Canada, I had a very small rock puncture 1 of the vertical tubes. Had it fixed locally at a Radiator shop for $80cdn. After that I made my own guards from stainless wire sheet I picked up at the local metal shop. Taped the edges with aluminum tape & then put them in behind the plastic grill i...

Re: Speaker Connectors for R1200/1250 RTs?
If your Speaker plugs are 2 wire & I suspect they are then this 2 Pin plug is correct, even though it doesn't show that on the Fiche from BMW.TJRL wrote: Very happy to take your word for it, but the links did not show me the plug and socket part numbers that I could use on this side of the pond???

You might think that it is incorrect, but I used it as I said on my bike, & it fits & works.

Re: RT for 2021
I think what is really good about the new TFT screens is the ability to connect the BMW Motorrad Connect app to the bike. I have old style bike so it's going to be a few more years before I will upgrade but I did download the app to see what it does. Looks good. Very easy to both import and export ...

Re: Viewing routes in Google Earth
New laptop and I'm still using Mapsource. I know, I'll get around to using Basecamp sometime. But for now I have a problem. On my old laptop I used to view the route in Google Earth, to check on minor roads etc, and I seem to remember when it went to GE Pro I had to delete the word "...

Re: How to improve bluetooth performance by totally replacing it
Can you open up the SM-10? I'd solder in a new female connector. Either a surface mounted one, or easier, chop the male end off of a headphone extension cord and solder the wires straight onto the existing socket. You'd then have a flying lead with a female 3.5" socket on the end. It's gotta b...

Re: How to improve bluetooth performance by totally replacing it
Do you mean the socket is actually damaged or it's just that the plug is loose when plugged in? I've had luck using different cables in the past due to different size tolerances when I've suffered wobbly connectors! No it just the tabs inside the female 3.5 connector have gotten wider over the year...

Re: How to improve bluetooth performance by totally replacing it
Good news bighopper. Does it all work as expected? I guess you are saying you used the Motechello unit? I think the speaker switch is on the Motochello but I have put a switch next to the radio buttons on the left side panel so I don't have top open the glove box to turn off the speakers. Yes I use...

Re: How to improve bluetooth performance by totally replacing it
I did this very thing to my 2016. I installed the bridge using the front speakers, by disconnecting purchase the BMW plugs with pigtails that then hooked to the inputs to the bridge. I used my SM10 Bluetooth for transmission.I put all this in the left clove-box, along with a USB connection to power ...

Re: bluetooth sound quality to Sena 10s
I did the same as 'Rambler358' on my 2016 R1200RT, but I hooked the wires thru the front speaker wires. Works great, although I am having trouble with my SM10 3.5 audio jack seems to have gotten loose over the years I have had it.
