Re: Menu Switch
The menu switch on my '16MY got sticky and was replaced under warranty. The replacement switches screen icon matches those from MY >18. Don't know if that is mere co-incidence or a change in switch innards.

Re: Warm Swing arm?
Yep, normal. One of the reasons shaft drive saps circa 10% of engine power. The heat you feel is wasted energy, however, we then don't have dirty old chain maintenance.

Just pulled the trigger on a laminated Gore-Tex Pro Stadler. Obscenely expensive but gets good reviews. Apparently it's the suit of choice for the German police.

Re: Back 2 Biking forum review
I really can't be bothered to watch videos of born agains who initially ask for, and then reject, constructive comment. I did have a quick look just to see what all the fuss was about, well made vids but doesn't he go on? As a newby he should concentrate on what he's doing to prevent the momentary l...

Did we ever find out what and whom he trained? I seem to remember in one of his bleatings that he had trained 20,000 people. Oh and my view is if you don't really want criticism, you shouldn't ask for it, but, if you have and if you get it, accept it not take yer bat home.

Re: Nearly came off the RT due to awful road surface
Glad you're OK. Yes the roads in the UK are in a shocking state. Any poor/dangerous road surfaces such as those in your photos need to be reported to the local council, they then have no defence if that causes a vulnerable road user to fall. It's not an accident if its due to someones (council) negl...

Research study
Hi fellow forum members and motorcyclists I could do with some help. I am a doctoral candidate at the University of Essex, England currently researching into the gendered participation of risky leisure sports and why we do what we do. More details can be found on the attached information sheet. Plea...

Re: Heated seat working?
The rider seat on my '16 RT was replaced under warranty, high resistance apparently. However, it does not get hot just warm and that with five bars showing on the dash. Tech guy said that the seat does not work in high ambient temps. I guess also my arse (with all the layers under it) is not as sens...

Re: How many RT LC owners actually have problems / issues?
Don't believe that. Next time you go out on a warm sunny day put it on full and experience a BMW sauna. As for the heated grips not getting as hot if the seat is on. They will work at their set temperatures unless the battery is lower than required. At which time they ...

Re: How many RT LC owners actually have problems / issues?
I did think I was being rubber dicked. Still they have fitted a new seat so we shall see. They said the old one had 'a low resistance when hooked up to the diagnostics'.
