Re: Heated RT LC low seat for sale (UK)

Glad it arrived OK.
I had a sheepskin cover on it for long trips - saved the numb bum.

Thanks for the heads up, I won it £68 absolutely chuffed I can manage the bike just but I am finding that I have to re-position myself every time I move off as I slide forward in the seat, hopefully this seat will solve that Ken Well done. For Sale - Tank Bag to fit 2014 RT LC

I've sold my RT and the Tank Bag doesn't fit my new bike and has to go. It's the BMW Motorrad R1200RT bag complete with fittings and instruction manual. You will have to provide a piece of self adhesive velcro for the attachment point though. This is fully waterproof and doesn't need a cover as with...

Low Saddle For Sale - 2014 onwards LC

I bought this for my 2014 RT but hardly used it and I've now sold the bike. It is unmarked and complete with heating element. If you're like me with a short inside leg this is just what you need.

Re: Bowing out

Talking of 'Bowing Out', I've just been watching 'Lord' Adonis on Good Morning Britain telling us that we need another referendum before we decide to leave the EU.
For God's sake we've had the referendum, we voted to leave! Get on with it.

There that should keep it going a while.

....in the sunny Peak District yesterday. Beautiful views, dry roads mainly and not too many people. Anyone else manage to get out? Yes had a ride across to Pidcocks, Long Eaton, about 60 miles there and 50 back. Out via the back lanes around Whittington and Bredon on the Hill past Castle...

Re: Bowing out

Quartz Blue is beyond doubt the quickest RT but sometimes even the quickest is not quick enough! This morning I found myself gazing in wonder on an RS SE in Pidcocks and realised it was quicker just sitting in the showroom than an RT. (And so it should be with the weight difference). I was...

Re: IAM Advanced Rider Training - Observed Ride #2

I am sure that Casbar is 100% on this as I was just done when I could see the Gateway signs just up the road. Cost me £92 for a 'Speed Awareness' course, which I have to say was quite enlightening as to how poor most people's knowledge of speed limits in particular and Road Traffic Law in general is...

Re: IAM Advanced Rider Training - Observed Ride #2

+2. The 'Trainers' that trained me were themselves advanced riders and very well qualified to pass on their expertise. They were Riders first - Trainers second. Riding a bike is not like a Social Science, Literature or H&S. Reading a book , no matter how well qualified you are, will not equip yo...

Re: Rust of disk rotor?

Mine does it all the time.
Dead easy to clean:-
1. Ride the bike.
2. Apply the brakes.
3. Job done all shiny again
