In the UK we have many roads that have plenty of bends in them, espacially in the Yorkshire Dales where I do most of my riding. Have seen quite a few bikes that have tyres scrubbed right to the edge and also too many bikers that end up badly injured or dead because they ride beyond their limits try...

well after much uming and rrrring, and searching adds etc. etc., I have finally purchased an R80 GS. Thought why have another RT, and the older GS bikes appear to be appreciating quite quickly. Not in the greatest of condition, but complete and original and running just fine. No intention to restore...

straps provided, over the seat with my gloves as protection, ratchet on sidestand as picture.  :)  As I said earlier, very apprehensive at first, but everything was  fine.

Went Hull zeebrugge return this May, no problem whatsoever, loading well organised, ratchet strap provided, you strap it down yourself, put foam or other protection under the strap to protect heated seat element ( i used my gloves). I bought one of these for touring,(topping up etc. it's now on board always. Calibrated gauge with my digital and OK but still carry digi gauge

Not found anything under £1200 for either bike, and same for R100 /R 80 generation bikes, however with both bikes having under 40k i am guessing they may not have seen much winter or wet riding for that matter. Only viewing and gut feeling will tell, maybe some history who knows. Anyway my budget is...
