Re: Which Engine Bars?
I have Touratech engine (front end) lower and upper bars and Krauser pannier bars. I like the combination and only issue is that I can't find a comfortable place to install Ilium footpegs. With this much cage protection I should theoretically never drop the bike ;-). 3,...

Were you successful getting Mick-o-pegs to work with crash bars? Still seeking highway peg solution for LC.

Re: R1200RT LC Engine and Saddlebag Guards
I went with Touratech upper and lower cage bars on the front and Ilium pannier bars. Now the bike will never be dropped, just like it never rains if I have my rain suit...

Re: Highway pegs for R1200RT-LC with Touratech engine guard
Get them to work and I'll be the first customer. I was very sad to return my pegs when they couldn't be mounted with TT bars. To their credit, the company provided return postage and full refund making me very much want to buy from them again.

Re: Highway pegs for R1200RT-LC with Touratech engine guard
The Mic-o-pegs are a wonderful product but cannot be installed with crash bars. I still seek a highway peg solution. Have tried Ilium bars in multiple locations without finding a good location thus far...

Re: Retro fit LED Sidelights
I also have Denali and Optimus lights on other bikes. All are excellent quality. All have variable settings. Clearwaters are easiest to install and the canbus issue is a pain if you go outside BMW or Clearwater. I took the lights off my c650GT scooter, bought new can opener and harness and rear lice...

Re: Retro fit LED Sidelights
I know auxiliary lights that are RT-LC compatible are expensive, but having fought this issue with 2 previous BMW models, I strongly recommend you look at Clearwater. They have a product called "can opener" that plugs into the can bus via the TMPS beneath the passenger seat.&...

Re: Seeking advise on new R1200RTLC: Nav V mount and Whelen light questions
I totally disagree as do my riding partners. All the button does is unlock GPS. You have to tilt to get it to come forward to remove and it is awkward especially with gloves on. Unless I am missing spring or something?

Seeking advise on new R1200RTLC: Nav V mount and Whelen light questions
1. Having now dropped the Nav V twice while fumbling to get it out of the recess, has anyone figured out how to defeat such idiocy? The absence of a locking system is frustrating. I have read the forum comments on drilling hole through the release button, etc. ...

Re: Windscreen
I heave V Streams on 2 other bikes and think they are terrific. I am new to the RT and so far like the stock windscreen. Others may know more about specific application to RT but I would absolutely buy another V Stream based on experience.

Has anyone successfully mounted highway pegs either to TT bars or the bike? If so can you share and take a photo? Many thanks, Gary

Re: Ram mount location on 2016 r1200 RT
I already have that mount :-). Can you send me a photo of how you mounted the ram device? I'm confused by your description, but am sure it will be obvious from the picture. Thank you! Very helpful info.
