Re: New 2017 gearbox clunk free.
Firstly, I LOVE my 2016 RT. As I'm reading through this thread, I can't help but wonder how many riders are reading it and thinking "who cares" After all, it's such a great all round bike, so what that there's an occasional clunk when shifting gears? To me it's just part of the character o...

:be happy:
I can see how easily that can happen as I already have a stable full of cars! It's a strange (and expensive) addiction, but great fun.

Re: Finnaly got my dream bike
My bike has all the options except for Audio, not something I'm interested in or even need, considering that I have the nav, phone and helmet headsets all paired via Bluetooth anyway.
I love the gearshift assit and the creature comforts that all the other options provide!

Finnaly got my dream bike
Always wanted a BMW & saved up until it was within my reach :be happy: Drove it back home from the dealership in near freezing temperatures for about 100 miles today. The heated seat & grips were fantastic and the bike handled well despite strong wind gusts. (We've had an unfortunate cold sp...

Re: Alloy Wheel Cleaning
Great tip, thanks! Assuming you're in the UK?
I'm in Canada & use ArmourAll wheel protectant, does the same job and well worth it.

Re: Close to get the RT
I've been struggling with weather or not to add the audio/radio option to the RT I'm ordering, as it's a stand alone option in Canada for around $1,350. With the excellent aftermarket Bluetooth systems available for less than half the price, I just haven't been able to justify the extra cost for a p...

With that handy info, I'll be well prepared ^-^

Re: Newbie
Thanks, that's good to know. Yes, I'm getting the Navigator V so that answers my question.

Re: Corrosion
Anyone use ACF-50? Spraying this on twice a year is supposed to suppress any corrosion very effectively.

Re: Newbie
Hi to everyone on this board, I've just joined and look forward to reading posts and learning from fellow RT owners. I'm a long time biker and always dreamed of owning a BMW and now I'm pulling the trigger on a new R1200RT! I'm located in Atlantic Canada (Nova Scotia) and have my eye on local shorte...
