Switch gear Campaign - is it still on for Twin Cams?
I have a 2013 90th anniversary RT. On a recent tour of Scotland, the left hand turn indicator has become stuck on. When you start the bike up it comes on immediately and then times out after about 90 seconds. A strange behaviour I observed is that if you shut the bike o...

Re: New member from Canada
Welcome aboard. I also ended a 20+ year break from motorcycling when I moved from Canada to the UK. Was partially motivated by the longer season and also the traffic here is so terrible that often the bike is the best way to get around. :'( Enjoy your new ride...

Re: ECU Removal for remap - TC
Apparently they (Hilltop) have done enough TCs that they have a good understanding of the mapping issues for these bikes and it was suggested to me that the Dyno runs are more for vanity. I love my TC but do a lot of city riding and the fuelling is quite poor for this. I have a l...

Re: Motoscan app
Looking at the screen shots, it seems that it doesn't support the R series with the canbus. However, looking at the app page on Google Play it seems that it is supported. Also they indicate that they now support the ABS flush procedure. Interesting, I may give it a punt...

ECU Removal for remap - TC
Has anyone run into instructions or have removed the ECU on a Twin Cam? I am thinking to use the postal Hilltop remap service but am not sure what the best way is to remove it (once I even find it). I was hoping not to have to remove the fuel tank but thinking that it must live t...

Thanks. I thought it looked a lot like the Remus. I am going to keep an eye out for a deal.

Where is the ECU on this vintage bike? I am looking to get mine remapped and need to find it first.

Anyone tried an AC Schnitzer silencer?
This is the one I am looking at. https://acschnitzer.shop/epages/06df9c77-bfbf-4476-bc30-b0da54736b10.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/06df9c77-bfbf-4476-bc30-b0da54736b10/Products/%22S4782%20100060L-0105%20088110%22 There don't seem to be a lot of choices for the Twin Cams. My push ...

Re: Roads spoiling the riding?
Given the moderate climate in the UK (especially the south), there is no excuse for it but shoddy construction and lack of inspection. I am in Cambridge. Last summer the council had one of the main roads into the city down to one lane while they constructed a pushbike super highway (wider ...

When you say "richened up", does it do away with the occasional stumble from idle? This is my only real gripe about my 2013 RT.

Helped by a nail in my rear tyre, finally made the switch to PR4s. They are still very slippery but the ride is immediately better. Looking forward to get them scrubbed in.

I use the Nolan N-Com system. Generally works well. Ideal if you have Nolan helmets.

Re: LC Top case lock
I just fixed a lock tumbler on a 2013 model. I bought a "repair/re-keying" kit from Motorworks. Not very difficult to do and lots of good advice on the internet.

Re: Topcase lock jammed
I am happy. Really didn't want to try to drill it out as had read some horror stories.
I have added some pictures of the tool I used to remove the lock tumbler with. It is just a metal BBQ skewer that I filed the point down.
