Yes, I'm extremely careful about that.

Re: Low beam bulb life expectancy?
My K1200S bulbs lasted 25k too. I'm using Sylvania bulbs from the auto shop, I had been using the super high output ones. I'm hoping to get longer life out of this standard bulb. The main problem I have with replacing them is my 2XL glove hand size, I even use a rifle cleaning ro...

Low beam bulb life expectancy?
i ride about 15k miles a year, and I'm getting really frustrated with the low beam bulb only lasting about 2-4K miles here on the relatively smooth Washington DC roads. I've usually gone with the brightest H7 I can buy but given that the adage "what burns twice as bright lasts half as...

Shift Assist problem....
On my 2014 my gear shift pro is acting a fool on the 1-2 and 2-1 shifts but fine with all other shifts. When I shift down from 2nd it goes to 1st for a moment then jumps into neutral and sometimes when going from 1-2 it doesn't immediately shift the gear and then suddenly jumps forward when it does....

Re: Correct oil for rear hub and gearbox
You will need 180ml of synthetic 75w90 gear oil. Here's a link with some photos that show the steps, not the best instructions, but better than nothing if you haven't done it before. https://www.jimvonbaden.com/R1200_Final_Drive.html Change the URL from https to http and it shou...

Rear brake pads?
My rear pads are about done after 21k miles on my 2014. Anyone recommend a replacement set? Was looking at EBC but can't seem to figure out which ones will fit properly. Thanks in advance!

Yeah that reads great in the manual, but if you step on that little shifter with a size 11 boot it downshifts regardless.

Re: Latest iTunes and MP3 export
Guessing your music is stored in Apple's AAC format. If so, you first need to convert them to MP3 before exporting from your iTunes library. There's a lot of instructions on the internet for doing this, just google "convert apple music to mp3". But here's the...

Latest iTunes and MP3 export
Has anyone mastered exporting their iTunes library into MP3 format onto USB that the RT will recognize? I'm not having good luck....any help (or a video) would be great!

Re: Shift Assist
I didn't think I'd care for the clutchless shifting, but if you're in really heavy traffic it's nice to be able to shift while still keeping a thumb on the horn button. I use it for all gears, but not all the time. If it's raining or snowing I use the clutch. Beware, if...

Commuting in Washington DC
Well today was an interesting ride home with the surprise snow and drop to 28 degrees today! I must say I was perfectly comfortable temperature wise throughout the 18 mile ride. The traction control noticeably kicked in twice, but other than that - no dramas to report. I must say...
