Re: Pannier Bags
Re pannier bags look at Mane Event they do an excellent range and are a lot cheaper. When you reach your destination you simply take out the bags an carry them into your accommodation very neat smart and easy.

Re: Full face Helmet or Flip front
Oh boy the joys of British biking re helmets and fuel stops. I use a Neotec flip front and usually no bother with attendants. However one site just off the M6 and towards Grimsargh in Lancashire are a pain. On one occasion I removed my Shoei and put just £10 of fuel in then put my helmet back on and...

Re: Low beam replacement -lc
Welcome to the ultimate headlight struggle this has been a major thorn in what should be an easy to service task. You can bet BM use a special tool for this and charge a silly price. Just another stupid design flaw from a repair point of view. But have to agree it is an incredible machine.

Re: What would it take to get the brake system from a 2007 to a 2005 model ?
Well if it was me and I hankered over a set of brakes so much then I would trade in my beemer for one that had the required system installed. Simples really actually in 95000 miles of riding beepers with ABS only twice has the system actuated just saying.

Re: Rear Brake pads
Yes David the pistons are free I pushed them back by hand although i have to admit that the retaining pin was very dirty, I have since polished it with wire wool. Will have to wait for the new pads, believe it or not they were fitted Jan this year and only done 1900 miles.

Re: Rear Brake pads
Yeah good point there the calliper floats easily and actually it is the inboard pad that has worn excessively, The pad on the piston side is like new. so I'm wondering if the anti rattle spring was fitted incorrectly and so preventing full movement on the piston side.

Rear Brake pads
Can any one confirm the correct way to fit the anti rattle spring that sits inside the rear caliber and presses against the top edges of the pads. There are two small prongs on the convex face do these fit between the pads or are they locators for the calliper? Reason for asking is because the prese...

Re: Key fob marking headstock...
This problem affects us all, my solution involves some Black ( colour doesn't really matter ) insulating tape cut into small strips and carefully laid around the key hole.

Re: electric screen
Update on my faulty screen R1200RT SE twin cam. It was examined by Bowker in Preston who said it is the handle bar switch. This is the second switch it was replaced free in 2012 because the indicators went haywire.
