Re: Which Screen ?
What I found out, by speaking both with Werks and 7Jrock, is that the screens are not identical. If I got it right, the Werks design was made by 7Jrock, but that Werks, for some reason, insisted that 7Jrock marketed windscreens be made with a slightly different design. Terry at Werks think...

Re: Another couple of Windscreen questions
Thanks for the replies. Looks like I have to accept a flared screen, and Werks and Aeroflow are the popular options. I wonder what will protect my passenger best - that may also be a close call.Am thinking of getting one size larger than one that works best just for myself.&n...

Another couple of Windscreen questions
2016 R1200RT I am looking for a screen, and have read some of the postings from members of the forum. Still a difficult decision to make. For myself, I don't have much of an issue with the stock screen. But I did take note that some others can hear the radio at up to 70 miles per hour. Wow....

Re: High octane fuel - worth the extra for the LC?
Hello LAF, I have 2016 R1200RT, and I verify what you are seeing on the back cover of the owner's manual. But not agreeing on your interpretation. The recommended PON/AKI is 89. Those three lines that you are seeing are all describing the same fuel. I contacte...

Re: Dunlop RoadSmart III
Look carefully at the picture that David posted on reply #21. The small sipes are significantly more shallow than the rest of grooves on these RoadSmart IIIs. I wonder why that is a good idea. Those sipes will wear out long before the tire has reached the end of it's life.&nb...

Re: 2014 RT LC Service cost?.
My 12000 mile service was $910. The only fluid changed was the oil. About $275 of the service was for the valve check - $125 for labor and $150 for the two gaskets. Rear brake pads and new Dunlop Roadsmart IIIs were in addition, bringing the total to $1410. Non riders w...

Re: Poll of Tyre Options - R 1200 RT, K26 (2012)
I have a 2016 RT1200RT, and have just used up my original fitment tires, which are Pilot Road 4 GTs. With previous sport touring machines that I have owned (this is my first BMW), I am used to the front tire lasting almost twice as long as the rear tire. It is good when I can com...
