Re: Best All Around Tire For The RT

I have an '09 RT which used to ride on (different generations of) Pilot Roads. Steering had never been neutral, it always wanted to upright itself in corners. Some say this costs grip. Then I switched to Bridgestone Battlax T32 gt's and it's hard to exaggerate the difference. It's like I got a whole...

Re: RT handling

Mine's an '09, so maybe it's restricted to the 2005-2009 model.

Re: RT handling

That's weird, I assumed it would be a universal annoyance/thing that the r's do. For the life of me I can't explain why some models wouldn't have it and others would.

RT handling

To me, the biggest drawback of RT's with telelevers, is their lack of neutral steering. For example, in a left turn, the handlebars want to steer inward (left) to upright the bike. It takes substantial force to keep it at an angle. I've had an '09 R1200rt for nine years now, and through the years I ...

Re: OEM Brake pad alternatives

I'm with you on that, tried some EBC FA335HH from Motorworks on the front of my first 2007 RT, https://www.motorworks.co.uk/vlive/Shop/Parts.php?T=5&NU=15&M=35&Ct=HA&SbCt=BA_15_35_HA_20&spPage=1 They had no feel, threw them away, only ever use OEM now. It could be a side effect ...

Re: New Tires for my 2006 1200 RT.

After three sets of Pilot Roads on my '09, I'm happy to report that the bike's handling has improved dramatically after fitting Bridgestone Battlax t32 gt's (had Pilot Roads before). All the telelever RT's I've ever ridden have a tendency to stay upright in turns. In other words, it takes significan...

Re: Cases bar protection

I had the Wunderlich crash bars on my rt, but I took them off as soon as I discovered they touch the ground while riding at steep angles well before the footpegs do. This negates the safety warning system of the folding footpegs, and could end up in lifting the front wheel off the ground by even the...
