Re: Quick shifter problem?
So how does one blip the throttle and keep the throttle valve closed at the same time? Surely one or the other? I believe that a better way of saying this would be "When braking and downshifting with the throttle valve closed, the throttle will be blipped by the engine control comput...

Re: Quick shifter problem?
More from the riders' manual "Shifting gear with shift assistant Pro OE Shift assistant Pro Requirement The shift assistant assists upshifts and downshifts without the rider having to pull the clutch or close the throttle." Page 109 of my 2018 RT manual. David, your quote from the manual i...

Re: Quick shifter problem?
When downshifting, the throttle needs to be fully closed, Not true, it will downshift just fine without closing the throttle. I've been downshifting with partial steady throttle ever since I got my 18 RT without any problems. There is a limitation on having too high of a rpm tha...

Re: Oldtimers service what a joke !!
I got quick service from Oldtimers. Give them time. The corona virus could actually be a legitimate excuse for this small company in Slovenia.

Re: Low beam issues
I'm pretty sure that on my 18 RT the low beam doesn't come on until I start the engine. Do you start your engine?

Re: Oil Filter...?
My understanding is that the oem filters don't have an anti-drainback valve. On my R1150RT and K100LT it wouldn't matter anyway since the filters are installed with the open end up.

Re: Oil Filter...?
The most important thing that I got from the CalSci website is that they all have the same threads, no-anti drain back valve, and a bypass valve. With all that being the same I would think that a longer filter would have a higher capacity for filtering regardless of brand. I hav...

Are you using the MENU button to step through the menus to NAVIGATE? You should find a PAGE option there that will let you control the screens on your NAV VI.

Re: Another Satnav Lock Option?
I'm not sure exactly how long it took to get the lock after I sent payment but I believe I would be safe in saying 1 to 2 weeks. Installation was easy. The only time that I communicated with Oldtimers was asking how to pay and how much. The response was within the same ...

That's for the bikes with Sirius XM satellite radio option. I believe that may be only available in the US market where I am.

Re: Another Satnav Lock Option?
....and so do Wunderlich. The Wunderlich one shown on Nippy Normans does not have the update that Oldtimers has done to allow easy relocation of the Sirius antenna. Take a look at this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1VsNb3dpQ-U and you can see that the extension for the antenna ...
