The two 2013 Harley Davidson Road Glide's I had before my RT had self canceling turn signals. I was a little surprised that and HD had something more technologically advanced than the BMW!

Newer Sargent 'Plus' seats

Sargent is offering two versions of it's World Performance line - the original and the 'Plus' model. Plus seems to have a more robust seating surface and better stitching but there's also a stitch line up under you thighs where I think it would be less comfortable. Has anyone tried both? Thoughts?

Sold! I've got for sale a like-new condition Low Heated Sargent driver seat for the water cooled LC RT's. Bought it and then found the regular height worked better for me so bought a new one. Re: Werks Quiet Ride vs OEM Windshield

On the windy highway ride home the day I bought my bike the buffeting was so bad I got online and ordered the Werks Quiet Ride. Love it.

Re: how long do a set of tyres last???

I ride almost always two up, normal weights, not that aggressive a rider and I have gotten 11k out of both sets of stock Michelin PT4's. But I ride them until they fight me in the corners, so pretty cupped and bald. Just had a set of PT5's put on. It's always a shock and fun (after the shock wears o...

Re: Quick shifter problem?

I have tried to solve this mystery for four years on my 2016 RT LC! Like most, I have the same issues. Shift assist up works great 3-6 and down 6-2. 1-2-3, not so much. Actually, I have found a few things that do make it better. First, it works great when the engine is cool. So the first few shifts ...

Re: Long time, no post - a couple questions

Shift assist is only really there for when you are riding the bike aggressively. Wide open throttle for up changes and fully closed throttle for down changes. Is this how you are using it? No, definitely not. Well, certainly fully close throttle for down shifting but I rarely use wide open throttle...

Re: Long time, no post - a couple questions

I get the best shifting when I go completely by 'feel' of the bike. And then I start to get a little consistency so then I try to 'quantify' it by watching the RPM's and immediately go back to clunky shifts. From 3-4 and on up is so smooth almost always. Is this feature still available on the newer ...

Long time, no post - a couple questions

Hello friends, It's been years since I've posted or even checked in. Too busy riding! Seriously though, the RT just doesn't need much so unlike with previous bikes where I've lived on the forums for that make/model, I quickly found that I didn't need to do as much here and it's been a few years sinc...

Re: Gear shift assist operation

As another argument in favor of the necessity of pre-loading, I have noted in the past that if the revs go too low (usually when shifting from 3rd to 2nd) and I don't pre-load the bike will shift without the Shift Pro help. It's a loud clunk with NO throttle blip. However, if I pre-load for a half s...

Re: Gear shift assist operation

I'm one that did not think I'd like or use it much but I've come to really like it. Like many, I find it's best shifting up from 3rd gear on. Downshifting is best all the way down to 2nd gear. After a year of ownership, here are my findings for best use: Upshift: Manual shift up to 3rd. From third o...

Re: New RT Colours

That Iconic red was (is) awesome. This new red, not so much. For the life of me I can't figure out why the BMW people can't come up with some decent colors for their regular bikes.

I'll stick with my Black Cherry until something better pops...

Re: Grip puppies - fatigue

It was kind of neat going back to thin grips. Like back to riding the bikes of my youth which was also felt in the RT's peppy performance as compared to the heavy, slow dogs I'd been riding for way too long! Riding is fun again!
