Re: Good place to mount video cam?
I modified an old push bike computer handlebar mount so the remote is closer to my left hand. It is also very easy to clip off and back on. http://i1121.photobucket.com/albums/l512/sofnolime/Forum%20and%20Linked%20images%2001-11-14/Remote%20mounted.jpg Re: Good place to mount video cam?Re...

Tyre pressures fully loaded
We're off on a big European trip next week and the bike will be fully loaded, 50L top box and both panniers. I'll also be carrying a pillion.
What do people recommend re tyre pressures? Same as the handbook or increase by a few psi, especially the rear?
Thanks
John

Re: Good place to mount video cam?
I've used a RAM ball mount bolt (the sort that you can use to replace one of the handlebar bolts on the yoke). I removed the bar end weight and the RAM bolt is the same thread etc. I can then mount the camera a the end of the handlebar and access it easily on the move. Wow, interesting place for a ...

Re: Good place to mount video cam?
Glad you got the mount sorted. The vibration issue was the reason I fitted my Drift under the headlight. No vibration and a good field of view. Also it's quite discreet and not easily visible. Any particular reason you chose the screen?? Well I was thinking that higher would be better for increased...

Re: Good place to mount video cam?
I think you might struggle to damp out any movement as the mass of the camera is well forward of the fixed mounting point creating a large bending moment around the fixed mounting point. Any flex due to road or machine vibration will be amplified because of the distance from the camera to...

Re: Good place to mount video cam?
That screen mount looks nicely engineered with its anodised finish, but as you correctly comment, there's no damping from what is quite a high vibration area (just sit and watch the screen area vibrate when you're sat at idle). Admittedly, once on the move, the vibration frequency shifts but still ...

Hi guys I've gone for the drift ghost-S camera after lots of research. Thanks for all you posts and advice. I went for the wunderlich mount on the bottom of the screen with a k-edge go pro adaptor. Here are some pics. It's a sweet set up and the K-edge adaptor is particularly wel...

excellent, thanks. The drift certainly gets good reviews.sofnolime wrote: Nothing with regard to footage both the GoPro and Drift cameras produce excellent footage. I just think the physical shape of the Drift cameras are better suited to mounting on a motorcycle or a helmet.

Re: Are you a hero in the turns?
done a track day for the first time on my Multi - great fun! Had sports tyres fitted - Metzeler RR something or other - great fun, and burnt the rubber all the way to the edge.....and beyond! That is the place to really test a bike and see what it, and the tyres can do. Sure, you can do this on the ...

Reviews seem really good. Only issue seems to be with battery life - have you found that a concern?

Re: Good place to mount video cam?
yes, you can see what you are filming on the "little" screen of the remote controle. I only use it for start/stop different mounts are available for the sony action cam. I also use it on my ski helmet. more info on [size=78%] https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/actioncam/hdr-az1-kit [/size...

Re: Good place to mount video cam?
I use the same mount as Benchmark (see picture) with a sony AZ1VR Action Cam Mini. Advantage of the sony: you can attach the remote controle to the handlebar. That way you can start/stop recording without dismounting the bike. sorry for all the questions........ could you have a mount for your helm...
