Re: optimate 4 Can Bus fitting broke off
Not had any issues with mine which is almost 2 years old. The length of the lead means even though it is close by and there is a fair bit on the floor from the unit , never had any issues with Optimates.

Re: Easy Access to Battery for Trickle-Charging over the Winter.
I use the Optimate via the Canbus, one issue I did have with a 2017 RT was the battery after a year was shot. Turns out there was a software update for the bike as there was a bug in the battery management. Since that was updated I have had no issues with

Re: One way to know your battery is dying....
Hi I have had the same problem on my 16 RT and whilst the battery had the right reading it would not start the bike even after it had been taken off the battery tender half an hour previous. Took it to Lind and they tested and replaced the battery but they also did a software update on the...

Re: No self-canceling turn signals after turns
The RT is the first bike I have ever had with Self cancelling indicators and I hate it. I have spent my whole Motorcycle riding cancelling my own indicators but there is nothing worse that coming down a slip road and round a large roundabout almost being taken out by a car cause the indicators went ...

Re: Tom Tom Rider
Like the mount option exportman I have used a centre of handlebar mount on previous bikes as have used the lockable mount for the TomTom for when I stop at petrol stations etc. but a very tidy job.

Hi
I have the following Telferizer ram mount that I got from Nippy Normans in the UK, you pull out the BMW rooundall on the handlebars centre and it fits in nicely

I do use the Wunderlich one and to be honest its not that bad, it is secure enough for fuel stops etc and I only take it off when I get home or if I was staying over somewhere
