Re: Over the Cat and Fiddle
Paggers did you use rain mode, as I have never had reason to use it yet and wondered if is useful or not?

Re: The Outer Hebrides
Nice write up and pictures. After having a couple of days on Arran, I am looking forward to more Scottish island hopping next year- and yes it did rain.

Re: Hello
Welcome, I came from a ZZR11 before BMW- you will miss the top end warp factor , smooth gearbox and less buzzy motor , apart from that its mostly RT good.

My boss called me a Luddite once. I retorted" I've never been to Ludddington and you were born in Goole". The North Lincs personnel laughed at my local wit.

Re: I improved the handling by loads today!
Just a thought, are some valve stems a bit too short for petrol station forecourt airlines? It seems to be a repeating problem of not getting a good seal talking to other riders tonight.

Re: Gear shift assist operation
Agree with RTman10. Pro shift is great from 3rd to 6th going up and down the gearbox. First and second gear just use the normal clutch operation. I find my gearbox is clunky and quite noisy ,but coming from 30 years of Japanese 4 cylinders I expected it to be a bit agricultural.

Re: I improved the handling by loads today!
A service station air line managed to let air out of my rear tyre instead of putting it in. A car driver nearby hoovering his boot said to me, " That airline has just let half the pressure out of my tyre 5 minutes ago too". I muttered thanks a bunch and limped home to use my trus...

I feel very smug with my humbertag on the Humber bridge crossing. Just drive by all the queueing vehicles in the toll lane. What is even more smug is riding my RT on the tag lane knowing my bike is completely free.

Waterproofs and thermals to cover all bases. I wanted to be a Meteorologist but ended up a Metallurgist, damned Careers Advisor could not spell. :))
