Re: What other bikes do you own?
I have a couple of Ducati's as spare bikes - Diavel and Scrambler. Then a work-in-progress 1972 Honda CL350.
Kind of thinking I should swap the RT for a Multistrada.

Re: Personalised Number Plates
I have a Ducati Diavel with "65 mph". I'm from the UK, but live in Kentucky. Plate cost $35!! I love it that lots of yanks don't understand irony. My neighbour was totally puzzled by my plate and said "surely that goes quicker than 65?" LOL!

Re: Mirror removal and electric screen
Question for reinstalling the mirror housing on an '09.
I have tried lining up the holes with the pins and pushing, but it's not going in. >:( Should I just push harder, or is there some fixture I am not aware of?
Thanks

Re: Heated Grips
I'm convinced that my right grip is consistently warmer than the left after 20 mins or so. Will rig up a temp monitors to confirm (because I'm a nerd).

I feel your pain, but economics would suggest that 10GBP is less expensive than a repeat failure. Bite the bullet.

Re: New 2016 R1200RT (ex-multistrada) owner here~
I've owned a Ducati Diavel for 4 years and when looking for a 2nd bike (for touring) I rode the Multi. I just didn't take to it though. Rode the RT and loved it straight away.
So now I have a Garage divided - Duc and BMW.

Re: New RT Rider - Couple of Questions
High quality scuff protection is now available for our BMW side cases. Fernando has been making the reflective kits for years. Recently he introduced the clear scuff protectors for side cases. I don't think they are on the website, just went public about a month ago with them. I am sure you can con...

Re: New RT Rider - Couple of Questions
Thanks, I wasn't aware of those reflective kits. Those together with some scuff protection on the top front would be great.
I have a car (AMG CLA 45), but pretty much use a bike daily and would be nice to keep it in good nick.

Re: New RT Rider - Couple of Questions
Yep, I'm very happy with the Ducati/BMW combo. Maybe just a new Africa Twin to round out the set?
I seriously need to keep the RT for a little while, so will stay away from the Dealership.

That's because of all the cast-iron engine bars, back-rests and huge screens that they add to their bikes! :alas: ;) :alas: ;) :alas: True that! UPDATE and HOLD THE PRESS though..... On the way home from work today, some jerk swung into my lane and caused me to take evasive action. Glad I...
