FAREWELL
All, after yet another issue with my 1200rt I can take the stress and worry no more. Having had the bike for just two years and several costly and worrying issues I have decided to cut my losses and get rid of this bike and return to Triumph a marque I know well. It is a shame about the RT...

R1200rt speedo not working intermittently
help never had this before out for a run today and after 10 miles or so noticed the speedo not working and a little symbol of a diamond with an H in it had appeared just above the MLS letters on the display. If I turn the bike off and then on again the speedo resets itself. WTF is going on? Any sugg...

Foot boards instead of footrests.....
Good evening all. A little help please. A couple of years ago my wife suffered a nasty foot injury and consequently now suffers when we are touring on the bike. I am wondering if anyone knows if there are any footboards available for a 2006 1200rt. Similar to the passenger foot boards on the gold wi...

Re: Servo not enabling when foot brake applied .
Hi mate sounds like your servo/abs unit is on its way out. Does your triangle light up constant red and is "brake failure" flashing? These usually fail on the rear brake first. Have it plugged into a duagnostic to check first, but I am pretty sure that's what it is. How many mile...

Re: Rear caliper getting very hot.
By the way dealers like Sherlock will only guarantee a recon unit until you have left the forecourt. I spoke to them about this before choosing the route i did. At the end of the day it is a choice thing.. For me it was go back to a tried and tested method of braking, not a system that has been ridd...

Re: Rear caliper getting very hot.
The insurance aspect is simple. Tell them what you have done, do it at a reputable agent, get a fresh mot and send the paperwork to the insurer. This is not classed as a modification but a rectification on probably the worst idea ever thought up about a braking system. Ask yourself why bmw got rid o...
