You can charge through the accessory socket in normal mode with the Optimate 4.

Had mine go out at about 14000 miles/13 months. Replaced with BMW bulb. For how much it costs, I'll probably have it replaced routinely during the 12000 mile services.

Just picked up my 2016 from its 12000 mile plus annual. They are warrantying the left side bag. It would frequently fail to lock on the first attempt, and it was very difficult, verging on impossible, to put it back on the bike once removed.
Other than that - perfect.

Bought my 2016 with a standard seat and quickly got a tall seat that I used in the high position. I did this so quickly, and was motiviated primarily by leg room, that I can't really compare differences in padding and comfort associated with that padding. I am a large rider.&...

Leg room is of great value to me. I cannot imagine that you would not strongly prefer the high seat on the RT.

I'm 6'2" with a 32" inseam. I'm going to recommend the high seat for you. I've got the high seat on the high position. I can flat-foot the bike and have excellent ground clearance. If I could have a higher seat (and it looks like I'm going to get one...
