R1200RT 2016 Brake Pads
Other than the online auction site, there is no official distributor of Brembo pads in Canada, meaning the only reliable source is OEM from the dealer. I'd prefer the original material, but balk at $100 per pair plus tax. I've been using EBC on my older airheads with good results...

Re: Nav VI Media Player
I tried taping 3rd pin from the bottom on the right when viewing the Nav from the rear. It did not work. The only change seemed to be the Nav no longer recognizes the ignition is off.
I suggest this is the incorrect pin. Any other suggestions?[attachimg=1]

Re: Nav VI with Garmin VIRB Camera
Currently mounted to helmet "Tele-Tubby' style. Extra power supplied by power-bank/USB in the top pocket. I have tried other postilions without success. Low on the screen is a problem as the angle changes as the screen is raised (this would also affect the brackets...

Re: Nav VI Media Player
My Sena 20s connects to the GPS for voice commands and cellphone. The media player outputs directly to the headset when not on the cradle. The BMW onboard audio is linked directly to the 20s, ie, not through the GPS. Browsing the forums is seems the on-board BT (v2.1) i...

Re: Nav VI with Garmin VIRB Camera
It was quite an interesting post, but I conclude he uses his android phone for remote control and not the Nav VI. My local Motorrad dealer suggests I contact BMW Germany directly. Lets see how that goes...

Nav VI Media Player
I guess most of us with RT's fitted with the audio system are frustrated that the Nav VI Media player is disabled when connected to the cradle. I contacted Garmin support and received a prompt response: "The media player is intentionally designed by BMW to not function when connected ...

Nav VI with Garmin VIRB Camera
Initially I was thrilled to find the VIRB remote control app included with my Nav VI. Using it though proved frustrating and illogical. I was concerned with the level of distraction caused each time I access the app, and wrote to Garmin support. The team responded quic...

Re: Nav VI Initial comments and concerns
Having just completed a 4000km road-trip from Vancouver Island down to California, I thought it would be useful to post a fuller review of the Nav VI. Firstly, I will list my frustrations: 1. Garmin VIRB (Action Cam) app. This could even be considered a potential safety...

Nav VI Initial comments and concerns
Proudly the first Nav VI owner on Vancouver Island, I thought I'd share some of my experiences with the device fitted to my 2016 R1200RT. There is little point in discussing the physical installation as there are no challenges involved with installing the battery and clipping into the GPS ...
