Re: Coolant Level
Just checked yesterday. I can't see the level even with a flashlight. Shaking the bike doesn't help. Spent 15 minutes taking the fairing off (slowly so I don't break the stupid tab) and 5 seconds to check the coolant level. It was at the max line.&am...

Re: New 2018 RT what would you like to see ??
A better solution for the plastic tabs on the front panels which frequently snap off, and a replacement for the rubber grommet which holds the side panel in place-sometimes! Both are cheap inferior solutions which should have never been considered in the first place. C'mon BMW!

Re: R1200RT touch up paint
Colorite does not carry ebony metallic. Holt BMW in Ohio sent me a perfect match. I found them on the MOA forum. Cost me $35 for a small amount, but it was worth it. Holt BMW.

Re: Unknown 2 inch piece of Rubber??
I'm in Westchester county, just north of New York City. We got 13 inches yesterday and expect another 6-8 tomorrow. I don't mind riding in single digit weather, the heated gear keeps me just fine. But I draw the line in wet snow.

Re: Unknown 2 inch piece of Rubber??
Thanks for all responses and suggestions. I'm going to assume its a protective leftover that should've been removed by the dealer. Lot's of snow where I am, as soon as it clears I will take the bike out for a test spin and see how it goes.

Re: Unknown 2 inch piece of Rubber??
Here are two other photos from the other angles, but it's a pretty uniform rectangle and may be hard to see a difference. One end is slightly torn but the piece itself is very clean, leading me to believe it's not road debris. I initially thought it was left over from dealer prep...

Unknown 2 inch piece of Rubber??
Just installed Clearwater Ericas on my 2016 RT and while I had the bike on the lift a 2" x 3/8" piece of rubber fell out from under the front fairing. I have no idea where this goes. Any help would be much appreciated.

Re: Clearwater Erica lights on a 2015 R1200RT
Newbie here-I am in the process of installing the Ericas w/mirror brackets on my 2016 r1200rt and I'm stumped on how to remove the air intake duct to access the body bolts. I can see one tab locking the bottom of the duct in, but something else (another tab) is still holding the duct in pl...

Re: Abba Skylift - USA
Greetings-I am considering this lift for my 2016 rt. This might be a silly question, but I'm wondering where the strap attaches, as the rt does not have the "bobbin" attached to the swing arm depicted in the instructional videos. Thanks

It appears the EZ-can is now available for the full 1200 series, so yes it is available for the RT-LC, which is the bike I have.

Re: Hex EzCan Install
Thanks for the responses. I just spoke with Matt, the "gear head" at Twisted Throttle. Very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Turns out that the EZ-Can can be plugged in anywhere in-line to the Can-bus, it does not have to go into the RDC.&nbs...
