Expensive but good quality, had to return my kit a few time as the trousers and jacket allow water onto my base layers.
Consider Klim gear slightly cheaper and they will repair minor damage. Rukka won't so don't damage the kit or make sure you have it insured.

Re: BMW Warranty
so an update, had a call from the Motorrad Centre and they have confirmed that the engine will be replaced under warranty. Don't have the full details around what was found, but BMW UK gave them the go ahead to investigate further. One happy customer tonight, shame it's taken so long to get to this ...

Re: BMW Warranty
Cooper Tunbridge Wells & Sunderland (my nearest Motorrad dealer) are both part of the Inchcape Group, https://www.inchcape.co.uk/bmw/motorrad/ , who's main focus is cars. Although I've had good success with warranty claims etc. at Sunderland, they can be hard work. Inchcape have a "Resolvi...

Re: BMW Warranty
So which dealership is dealing with this situation? The Motorrad Centre in question is Coopers Tunbridge Wells, they won't investigate unless instructed by GB-BMW and the warranty technical team. They still haven't answer my question and just keep on referring me to the manual. Also GB-BMW customer...

Re: BMW Warranty
I doubt if you would burn enough oil on a journey to harm the engine, therefore if no oil leaks or smoke, then you have not been checking the oil level and its probably been happening for a while. Nobody relies on the oil warning light to come on before checking the oil levels. You wouldn't in a ca...

Re: BMW Warranty
Retorichical question, Without checking your manuals, according to your manuals, do you know how often you should check your oil levels. Are you aware that you should check your oil level every 3rd fill. But the manual also refers to another page that talks about levels and warning lights....

Re: BMW Warranty
I think it would strengthen your case if there was a sudden oil loss which was a warranty issue in itself then it would not be a maintenance issue. Agree, but no investigation has been undertaken other than walking around the bike with a video camera and making assumptions to the cause. Bike has be...

Re: BMW Warranty
The oil-level sensor, https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/showparts?id=0A03-EUR-01-2016-K52-BMW-R_1200_RT_0A03,_0A13_&diagId=12_2361 is basically a float. With all the oil drained out of the engine, it would be interesting to know whether or not the low oil level warning is displayed. Needs the en...

Re: BMW Warranty
Mine is slightly higher mileage that yours but as others are saying here it uses hardly any oil. When did you last check it (either using the oil level check from the wonderwheel or just having a look at the sightglass)? Two weeks previously when I washed the bike over before swapping the...

Re: BMW Warranty
if you want to get legal, then I would have a chat to White Dalton solicitors or join Which? Personal Legal Service and talk to them. you could call an independent BMW servicing organisation near your home and ask whether they've heard of this problem.[/size] I would concur with the others who say ...

Re: BMW Warranty
At this time, was the bike burning oil, (smoke showing from the exhaust). Bike wasn't burning oil and the level was checked regular when I washed it in the winter period every two weeks, to identify if it had burned any. I know from previous none LC models that it was common for the engine to burn ...

Re: BMW Warranty
BMW may mean that when the oil light comes on there is insufficient oil to maintain adequate lubrication ( breakdown of oil due to temperature) at speed. The same will apply at the point just before the light comes on so although there is no oil light on there is insufficient oil. But isn't the pre...

BMW Warranty
I would like to know if U.K. Owner have had issues with BMW not honouring the warranty,or push back when warranty issues are raised. Do they try to use the manual and blame the customer for not following the recommendation. I have a 66 plate that's just done 11552 mile, bike has lost 2ltr of oil and...

Re: Bike camera
Also use the Innovv system that covers the front and rear, having had two incidents "other drivers faults" and one that needed the footage I would alway recommend something. As mention fixing points need to be considered, but once installed you can start the bike and just let the camera r...
