Re: Power Commander
Hi I installed on my completely stock 2010 RT TC a Power Commander V with Autotune. My goal was to eliminate that roughness and lack of strength in the lower rpm, specially when you drive off and the engine wants to stall, and, if possible, to get a little extra power on full accelerations. So far i...

Re: Rear wheel side play
Yes. The mechanic is a good and competent guy but is completely overwhelmed with all the work because this BMW Motorrad dealer insists on having just one mechanic. My final drive, which is all new, already shows some scratch marks ... I think it's a real design flaw having the disc screws being tigh...

Re: Rear wheel side play
Hello, Finally everything was solved for the best. After having a professional disassemble the rear disc and measure it, it was confirmed it was straight so we began to think that the problem was in the finish of the new flange and that it would need to be shaved by a professional. Because it would ...

Re: Rear wheel side play
Hi, First of all, tank you all for the advice. The repair was finished and I already picked up the motorcycle from the BMW dealer but I'm not happy with the final result of the repair. Everything in the rear is new, the wheel, the flange, the brake disc and the differential. The wheel and the shaft ...

Re: Rear wheel side play
Thank you for all the advice.
They are the biggest bmw motorrad authorized dealer in my country but are also included in the list of repairers of that insurance company.
The wheel support part i was referring to is the wheel flange.

Rear wheel side play
Hi My 2010 RT was rearended by a car when i was stopped in a intersection. It was more of a push than a bump. The result was rear frame bent, rear wheel bent, mudgard broken and muffler scratched. It was visible that the wheel, brake disc and caliper woobled a lot. After all the insurance burocacy b...

DWA alarm light
Hello, I noticed that in my 2010 Rt the alarm light located inside the rpm instrument cluster keeps blinking after I start the engine and even after starting to ride. It only goes off after a while. I've been reading both manuals (motorcycle and alarm) and none has any reference to this situation. D...

Re: Rookie with seating problem
Since the extra low bench seat does bot have heat, doesn't solve my problem.
What about having the seat trimmed by a professional?
Anyone made it to a heated seat or the heating elements don't allow it?

Re: Rookie with seating problem
BMW offer a heated comfort bench seat, can't find a seat height, but it is described as "extra-low". http://www.bmwlt.com/forums/attachments/rt-series/26647d1268836653-r1200rt-comfort-seat-seat2.jpg Re: Rookie with seating problem But from the information i gathered in the web, looks like...

Re: Rookie with seating problem
I have the ESA set at single rider and the seat in the low setting.
Do the back rubber bushes of the seat have any sort of fiddling that might change the height?

Rookie with seating problem
Hello everyone I'm JMC and I'm new to the forum and to the bmw 1200rt. Bought my motorcycle two days ago and I'm loving the experience. I came from a Honda 4 cylinders (cbf1000) to a 2010 DOHC RT. The only problem I'm having is with the seat height. My previous motorcycle was slightly lighter than t...
