Re: Wunderlich. Where are their parts made?

I have Wunderlich crashers on my R1250RT and have to say that the quality of the chrome plating is absolutely appalling for the price charged. They were fitted from new, and the bike has now done just over 6,000 miles. ACF50 every year, even though it is not ridden in the winter. After just one wint...

Re: 2012 RT and Navigator V compatibility?

I have the Nav V on a 2104RT. To be honest I find it easier and quicker to use the touchscreen on the nav, but that may be because I always have the mf display set to display current speed (my old eyes have a problem with the analogue speedo) which means I would have to keep repeatedly pressing the ...

Anybody found a solution to this "minor" oversight yet? >:( >:( >:( Nippy Normans now offering aftermarket locking kit http://www.nippynormans.com/k1200r/wunderlich-navigation-security-and-glare-shield-r1200rt-lc Not cheap, but Wunderlich is usually good quality gear. Link doesn't seem to...

Oooops. Inadvertently touched a nerve there. Please accept my apologies.

Do they have any stainless steel parts? I understood they were made from a mixture of Mom's apple pie and bullsh*t.

Re: Cleaning lc pipes

Thanks for the info guys. Bloody annoying thing is that I've just ordered a new bottle of OptiGlanz at £15 a pop, and it will probably sit unused on the shelf.  :-X

Re: Hill Assist

I guess the OP has got the answer by now, but just in case.... I recently bought a 2014 R1200RT LE that supposedly had the hill start. When I picked it up from the dealer I discovered I discovered that it did not have it. "No problem sir. It's a simple software update, that we will do F.O.C.&qu...

Cleaning lc pipes

Newbie here, so be gentle with me ;) I have just bought a 2014 R1200RT LE, and am a little confused about the material used for the downpipes and collector box - more importantly, what to clean them with. I had an F800GT with a full stainless steel system, and used OptiGlanz Stainless Steel Cleaner ...

Re: Hello from an F800GT rider

Just 'moved up' from an F800GT to an R1200RT LE a couple of weeks back. My wife and I wanted to go touring, and the 800 was just a bit too short on luggage and seat space for us in our advancing years (I'm 59, the wife is 50). Although the 1200RT looks like a bit of a barge, it really doesn't seem a...

Re: European Meet Black Forest May 2017

:'(  Would have loved to have gone on this one. Getting an R1200RT for me and my good lady to go touring. This seemed like a great introduction before 'flying solo'. Unfortunately my wife works in education and the only way she can get any time off during terms is either to get pregnant (v...

Re: Greetings and introduction

Another newbie here. Will be trading in my 2014 F800GT for a 2014 R1200RT LE in a few days.  Bought the 800 to get back into 'proper' biking after a break of nearly 30 years (after writing off a kamikaze Cortina with my R80/7 on the day of the Live Aid concert). Lost count of the bikes I ha...
