Re: Programming Key Fob, keyless ride
somewhere on youtube there is an easy way to program a second keyfob that does not require removal of the windscreen. I bought a second one (yes you have to provide your reg and license to the dealer) and it was a simple set of steps to program it. I did it so long ago I forget the procedu...

Re: 2014 R1200RT doesn't start on 1st try
The throttle turn thing was(is?) a reset method that I recall from my '98 C - since my '16 RT is having this issue I'll give it a try. I also heard that using the STOP button instead of the "key" (I have keyless so I press that button) solves the issue also. BTW mine only does it in the mo...

Re: First flat!
I had a baby nail in my tire yesterday. TPMS said my pressure was at 18 - I was 10 miles from home - took the back roads - pressure went up to 20psi on the ride.
Went and got myself a patch kit and we'll see how it goes (tires have only 3000 miles on them).

Re: Sena BT Updates
updated both my 10Rs yesterday - I had already downloaded the manager (Windows 10) - it updated the manager then I plugged each unit in and followed the instructions. I've yet to repair it to the bike nav system (I did a factory reset after the update) - one step at a time

Re: Sena BT Updates
As I recall you need to download their Windows or MAC app (before or after registering) then it was somewhat straightforward (Windows 10 btw). I didn't watch the videos. If you don't see 'sign up' or 'register' on their site, make sure you don't have any ad-blockers or such running.&nb...

Re: Windshield riding speed
I'm 6'4" with a QuietRide on my R1200RT - its all the way up all the time - I hit a high speed this morning (not quite double the posted limit) for a few seconds getting away from a few cages that were acting a bit erratic. Windscreen didn't flinch. And did you know the Nav ...

Re: The 1200RT is on my shopping list!
I never thought about any bike being a poor commuter bike. I used to ride my '98 R1200C any warm/non-weather issue day I could. I plan on doing the same with my R1200RT - 7-8 times so far this season - who cares if it has all the bags on it ... I'm getting used to them.

Re: Ever consider replacing the Keyless system with a REAL key?
Thanks for the reminder on other items may effect your success in using the keyless fob. My company badge needs to be far enough away... I can't have both my PD access and my work ID on me otherwise neither place will let me in :-) I'm about to start using one of those Mobil (speedpass) fo...

Thanks! Hoping to do the same over the coming months - just not sure if I'm going to go with some aux lights at the same time. I've still got kids in college!

Re: Clearwater Billie Brake Light
I plan on riding with and without the large 49L top case which does not have an integrated brake light installed. Clearwater confirmed that their Canopener unit will drive two Billies - so I'm going to put one on the plate (yes I'm US) but before mounting it, I'll be taking a good look at it to see ...

Thanks - I need to get some nighttime driving in with the bike before I make a choice on what I need for aux lighting and mounting locations.

Re: Darla Lights
When you say 'on the engine' - do you mean on the engine crash bars? I only see the fork and crash bar options on their site.
Thanks
