Ouch ... sorry to hear that.
Glad to hear there's not too much damage.

Re: Newbie from Arizona USA

F800GT: F6B is a wonderful bike, but it's not a sport touring bike. No matter how many cruiser or full touring bikes I've owned I still end up returning to a sport touring ride. I've had 3 sprint STs, a Concours (newest gen),and now the BMW. The flexibility of riding styles offered by the BMW combi...

Re: R1200RT vs R1200RS

Anyone riding the R1200RT under warm weather ? I was wondering if the R1200RT blocks too much of the needed wind under warm/hot weather ?

Re: R1200RT vs R1200RS

Sorry was never my intention to take thread off course. Comment about making much difference was in relation to which bike to choose not specifically  about filtering. Think we can all agree a thin bike is easier. If filtering was my main concern on bike choice I wouldn't pick either. Not ...

Re: R1200RT vs R1200RS

I've been thinking back and forth between the R1200RS and the R1200RT for a while. I like the RT for its versatility, especially for multi-day trips. However, commuting with it when I need to split lanes everyday is not as easy as with the RS.

I was a happy owner of a 2008 F800 ST, until I took out an R1200 GS as a loaner while my F800 was being serviced. I had always assumed that the R1200 would feel big and ungainly...
