Re: Flat spot/Hesitation - Update
hi all, ordered a TPS from Blade BMW in Longbridge as I'm visiting family. Luckily, they ordered me the wrong part (gear position sensor), so asked to speak to a tech. He was bloody awesome! Only charged me for 30 mins work to take her in the garage, run a full check of all sensors and software. All...

Re: Flat spot/Hesitation
Hi David. Yes, when I replaced the battery. If I get chance this weekend, I'll pop off the Tupperware and see if I can get a multimeter on the TPS. Can you get the back of the plug with ease?

Re: Flat spot/Hesitation
Thanks David. I use BP Ultimate, so not a fuel issue and TBs were only synced a couple of thousand miles ago.

Re: Flat spot/Hesitation
I saw ones like this, but my issue is when under quick acceleration. So after some reading, this technique can give you a false reading as you get a good spark at idle, but the coil fails when under load. I'll replace them anyway, peace of mind.

Re: Flat spot/Hesitation
David, none yet. I put new plugs in only a thousand miles ago, so the coils are the last thing to check. I'll replace them next week and let you know how it goes.

Re: Flat spot/Hesitation
I hope not casbar! After doing some more reading today, it looks like it's one of the stick coils, so going to order some and try that. The general consensus is they're only good for 40k miles...

Flat spot/Hesitation - Update
hi all, my 2007 has developed a flat spot/hesitation under hard acceleration. I use UK super unleaded (BP & Shell). To give some history, my cruise control wasn't working since purchase 8 months ago and only recently, rectified it (microswitch issue). Since I've been using the cruise control, th...

Re: How to adjust clutch switches-Cruise Control
Sorted it. For info, you should have 2 clicks when pulling in the clutch. I was only getting 1. Access is from below and the 2 micro switches are stacked on top of each other. 1 screw holds both, ease it off, pull them both forward and re-tighten. 2 clicks now and cruise control engages every time 👍

Radio turns itself off...
hi all, my radio has just started turning itself off and won't turn back on? Once I turn the ignition off and turn it back on, the radio comes back on straight away and is fine. The manual has no trouble shooting guide? Anyone have an idea why it's doing this and how to stop it?
