Re: 2015 RT XM/Sirius Radio Connection
Are you trying for a free activation? If this isn’t a new bike then I’m sure the previous owner already used the free trial.
If you want to pay for a subscription, then get the Radio ID from the menu and call SiriusXM with it.

Re: Smartphone Link
You're missing the point of the Smartlink App. No, I’m not. The Smartlink app can transfer addresses to the Nav, and alert you to traffic and weather if you’re subscribed to them. You will have a separate mapping app to transfer data from phone to the SatNav - MyRouteApp for example. This app will ...

Also, transferring from Google Maps to the Garmin Smartlink app doesn’t appear to work for iPhones, unless I’m missing something.

Smartphone Link
As Simbo says, look for the share symbol and choose the smartphone tab. This was all new to me until yesterday but tried it a few times and seems to work ok. Okay, so it doesn’t go directly to the Nav. You send it to the Garmin Smartlink app, then send it to the Nav from there. You had me confused ...

Re: Smartphone Link
I use Google maps on my phone to find hotels or places where I want to go then share it to Garmin Smartphone Link, then next time my phone connects to the nav it asks if I want to navigate to the destination. What kind of phone do you have, and how exactly do you share from Google Maps to the Garmi...

You need to make sure you had tracks turned on in order to do the above.

Open up Garmin Express and see if it connects. That’ll tell you if they’re back up.Old-Git wrote: Anyone know if Garmin have resolved their issues? I've seen the news articles, anyone had first hand experience?

Re: Route Planning Software - what do you use?
The real bonus was out on the ride. There was an accident so had to detour. None of this u turn malarky, no fuss, just recalculated and took me straight back to my planned route. I then purposely went wrong and it was faultless, rerouted back to the route. That’s a function of the Nav and not the r...

So, MyRoute-app no longer supports Google Maps routing.austin1964 wrote: And if you subscribe to Gold on MRA it aligns with Google maps
I guess Google wanted to up their licensing fees, and the MyRoute folks didn’t want to pay it.

Re: Route Planning Software - what do you use?
I prefer BaseCamp, but I also use inRoute (iOS and Mac apps) and MyRoute-app. I like using the other apps as well because I can create routes on the go if needed, and then send them from my iPad to the Nav 6. If I’m home and not using BaseCamp to create the route, I’ll export it as a GPX then import...
