Re: TFT and General stuff on the 21 R1250RT

My understanding is that the early USA bikes will not come with speakers as the radio is not available. The radio option which was part of the premium package disappeared when they removed the premium package due to the chip issue. My goal is to turn that space into storage. Once my bike arrives I’...

Re: TFT and General stuff on the 21 R1250RT

I stopped by my local dealer yesterday (usa/Calif). I had a look at the 2021 I currently have a 2017 Here are my thoughts 1. Love the cosmetic upgrades 2. Led headlight 3. Dislike right cubby compartment wireless charging. Majority of the phones will NOT fit in that compartment 4. No Speakers/ On -b...

Re: TFT and General stuff on the 21 R1250RT

Hello bmw owners. Please confirm this. On the 21 RT with TFT new display. On this new system to get full functionality of the system the cell phone Must Be connected to the charging/data port on the RT? I am currently on a 2017 RT using the Nav6. Connected wirelessly of course. If true I do not like...

Re: DIY Servicing

Most of the minor servicing is eeezy
Oil changes
Mount/dismount tires from bike
Brakes

The above can easily be done yourself. Alot of youtube videos and JVB productions put out a nice video on Maintenance along with all the torque specs

Re: Disc brake pads

I have gone 48k on OEM. I still had a little left.  I figured might as well change them out.  I stuck with OEM.

Re: 2009 versus 2016 1200RT

You can't go wrong with 2016 RT
I have had 1999 RT,  2004 RT, 2013 RT, 2017 RT

I miss the Electric Servo brakes in 2004.

2014 and newer is the way to go hands down. Wet Clutch and Liquid cooled
Excellent throttle response.....(no cable)
