Thanks. As I remember, it was about $800 or more option. I'll take $250. I have the case for it, but not that plastic cover.
There's a tiny scratch in the plastic from the accident. Nearly noticeable.

2017 R1200RT GPS
After 50 years of riding, I finally hit the road. Literally. Some jerk slammed into my right saddlebag and threw me off my bike. I'm recovering, but the bike is totaled. I'd like to sell the GPS, but not sure if here is the right place. It's the VI m...

Re: Harley Sold, Gone, Now What??
Do you have the BMW "Low" seat? Mine does. It's too hard for my light weight.

Re: Harley Sold, Gone, Now What??
I have been riding Harley motorcycles since 1968. Last 3 were the Heritage model. Just took a 1450 mile trip on my new 2017 R1200RT. Love it. I love getting into the curved roads here in NC without dragging my floor boards anymore. The RT just handles so light...

1450 Mile Weekend. NC - NJ and back.
This might not make sense to folks not familiar with the North East US, but here is my report. I got my 600 Mile service on a Wednesday. I actually only had about 530 miles on it. Friday I left my home in Concord NC (USA) about 6:00 AM and headed north. I hadn't done much route ...

Nice report.
I live in NC and just got my first BMW M/C. I hope to get to the mountains soon.

Re: New BMW Owner - Concord, NC
I went for a four hour ride today, in order to add another 200 miles so that I can get my 600 Mile Service on Wednesday. I must say, the "lift" boots surely helped me feel better about the bike. I'm not ashamed to say, the extra 3 inches made the difference. Now I can p...

Re: Longest Day
I moved from New Jersey to North Carolina last year. I found I did less riding in the summer and more in fall and spring. In winter I have the Gerbing toaster suit. In summer it's just too hot to ride, especially in rush hour coming home from work. I'll do more evening ...

Re: Sargent Seat?
So I'm a day late and a dollar short? Not to mention vertically short. Rats.
I went to the website and did a "contact us" email. Maybe he'll still answer.
Thanks for the info, folks.

Re: Can an Old Man with an Old Phone play music?
Man, that was easy. Thank you. Next step is to get a blue tooth headset so I can hear it (on low) as I ride. Doing the research now. Sena has fans and non fans. Need to see if it's worth the money or just get an inexpensive one just for the radio. Wife doesn't...

Can an Old Man with an Old Phone play music?
My 13 year old flip phone doesn't have the ability to play music. My 2017 RT has some kind of ubs port and 3.5 mm female audio jack. I think that's right. I wanted to buy an inexpensive MP3 player and fill it with music files from my computer. I figure I could probably ...

Re: Sargent Seat?
If I may... you say the Sargent seat is not a good fit for us short folk. Do you know of one that is? I have a 2017 R1200RT with the "Low" seat in the lowest position and still have one heel off the ground. I only have 300 miles on the bike.. but I can already tell that...

Re: New BMW Owner - Concord, NC
Thanks for the info and well wishes. I hope to get some miles on it this weekend and hopefully feel more comfortable with it. As far as the get together goes... it's a week too early. I'll be retiring on the June 30th. After that, I can do these week day rides. ...

Re: New BMW Owner - Concord, NC
I picked up the bike today. I'll skip the complaints about the delivery and get right to the ride home. I left the dealer at about 4:30 PM... just in time for rush hour. I bought the small tour pack with the bike. I thought I felt some ... hard to explain... w...

New BMW Owner - Concord, NC
Hi. I've been riding Harley Davidson motorcycles since 1968. Not all that tall or big to begin with, now that I'm old, I wanted a lighter bike. After many weeks of research and test rides, I've decided to take a gamble on a 2017 BMW R1200RT. I really liked the...
