I couldn't stomach the cost of the dedicated GPS units.
Instead I bought a Umidigi Bison X10 rugged smartphone that is water proof and vibration proof. I use the TomTom Go app and it works fantastic on the 6.5" screen.

Re: Potential R1200RT Owner
I'm 5'9" with a 31" inseam and as Jeffem said the RT is quite tall. I can just about flat foot it, another inch lower would be nice but it's not a big deal.

Re: Long post - Thinking about switching to Versys 1000 / R1250 RT ?
Hello to all riders, I'm new to this forum and it is my first post here :thumb: I currently own a Versys 650 LT SE 2020, but more 2 up rides to come, so... I've been thinking about changing my Versys 650 LT SE, and I've come down to two options: Versys 1000 LT SE 2023/2024 or BMW R1250 RT 2023/2024...

Re: What model bike do I have?
The website below is interesting and may answer a few people's questions. Type in your 17 digit VIN number and it'll give you the specification your bike was built to and the actual production date:- https://mdecoder.com/ Sadly that VIN decoder no longer seems to work. Or maybe it's just my VIN :ro...

Got me a 2013!
Colour me excited! Just bought a 2013 RT! Looked at it back in July but it needed rear drive seals replaced. Didn’t feel like the right time. Stopped by the dealer today because it was raining buckets and I needed a pick me up. Lo and behold it was still there. Reason it was still there is because o...

Re: Two Up Riding on a R 1200 RT
We rented a 2015 RT for a week in Dec and were very happy with its two-up performance. If there was a hitch at all it was that because the panniers are so wide my partner had trouble getting her leg over them. Doesn’t have that issue on our ST1300. I would highly recommend some clear prote...

Return to riding
I own an 2005 ST1300 and have rented a 2015 RT so I can offer a perspective on the RT and the ST. Previous to the ST1300 I owned a 2006 Triumph Tiger. I’m 5’9”, 32” inseam and weight 170lbs. I ride two-up about 50% of the time so weight distribution matters a lot to me. The Tiger was a brute. It car...

Re: 2016 R12RT with 750 miles on it F/S (Update)
The other thing that rings a bell is that there was a DBLXX named Dave from New York State on the K1600 forum sometime back, who got banned. I wonder if it's the same guy? Thoughts? Based on the fact that his original intro post said he was coming from an LT I’d say it is/was the same guy. Sent fro...
