Re: Dashcam position
That actually looks like something what would work in my scenario. Thanks mate!tda2806 wrote: How about this on my 2014 RT LC. I will update this post when I can remember where I got all the bits from, but the majority is RAMount. The QR platform is a bit of overkill.

Re: Dashcam position
Gonna post my setup after it's installed on the bike. Just to give an idea for other people who might be in the same situation.
Update: was a no-go. Even with that RAM mount it did not fit. Have to rethink the setup. Darn it!

Re: New RT Colours
I actually bought 2016 bike over a 2017 one for its colour. San Marino Blue is the way to go. Might not be the fastest colour, but 100% the most comfortable for a pillion

Re: Dashcam position
Thanks a mill, mate! Your ones are prolly clean cause they are both down low. My dashcam is GoPro style, won't fit there. Bummer. But I think I've got it. I found a RAM mount and a 5" RAM arm in one of my drawers :). That way I can have a negative angle bend and it should fit behind the windshi...

Re: Dashcam position
I only need it as a dashcam, not as an action cam. Say my car one saved a guy's bacon, he hit a pedestrian when she was running the red light and, providing my dashcam record as an evidence, he was able to come out clean. So windshield is not an issue. As for bug... you should see my helmet after a ...

No good Has to be behind the windshield. Tried mounting on the outside - had to constantly clean squashed bugs off its lens.bikerdog wrote: Having the same issue myself. Some of the photos I've seen have them mounted under the headlamp.

Dashcam position
Hi,
Could you, please, share pics of your cam install? Or at least give me some pointers. Can't find any decent place for it behind the windshield.
Thanks!

Re: 2016 RT With A Rear Car Tire
Cruiser tyres would be like that, they're hard and sturdy to take the big weight and lots of running on the centre part of the tread. Ehm... no they would not :) My Victory Vision Tour (the cruiser of cruisers) used a MC tire. Same one GoldWing uses. It's everyone's own decision which tire to use, ...

Re: Rubber care
Silicone dissolves rubber, mate. That's why you use water-based lube with rubber
Just low-pressure wash would do the trick.

Re: Wunderlich Ergo seat
Yeah, will see. You do make a good point though. Thanks for the tip. I'd prolly go for a custom seat too. Not gonna be making one myself that's for sure :) Why, oh why stock seats are always crap? Had a lot of bikes before my RT and not a single one had a good seat. The only good stock seat I had wa...

Re: Heated seat working?
Just my 2c - it gets better over time. More you use seat heating, better it gets. On the first try my missis didn't feel any heat for the first 20-30 mins. Now it takes 5-10 for it to start working. I don't crank my one higher than 3-4. On 5 when tried got my s...t boiling in a couple of minutes. An...

Re: Wunderlich Ergo seat
I've just bought a used seat with the intention of having it shaped and raised to suit me. Previous experience tells me this can work well and be cost effective. I hate the idea of buying custom seats (Corbin, Sargent, Wunderlich etc) because I worry that they just won't suit me...

Re: 2016 RT With A Rear Car Tire
Having CT on a bike here in Czech would be a major traffic offense. Won't lose a license over it, but will have the bike impounded on a spot + a hefty fine. I investigated pros and cons of a CT on a bike. Even ran a trial on one of my previous bikes - nah. To say the bike handles weird is a massive ...

Re: Cylinder head guards (77 12 8 357 955) fitting instructions
Could never understand these. Originally just for the GSA. Made if nice soft alloy so one small tip and they are destroyed and you can't clean behind them. Well, all so called crash bars would only protect you from very slow speed spills. Preferably 0 mph ones. Try to imagine wh...
