Tour de France RTs
Hi, I`ve been watching the tour de France on TV, they usually have loads of motorbikes involved in one capacity or another. Anyway, I noticed that they have been using a few of the latest RTs fitted with the adventure style panniers. Never seen that before. I wonder if this will start a trend. Cheer...

Hi,
Despite having toured in Scotland loads of times I thought I`d take a punt on the book which David suggested. What a useful little purchase. Thanks David.

Re: Highway Code changes from 29/01/22
Hi,
I`ve never really contemplated having a dashcam in my car or on my bike, but I think it maybe time to think about it now.

Re: SOS icon and amber triangle on
Hi, Took my bike into the dealer I bought it from and explained the SOS problems. After having it for a day they called to say that they were contacting BMW to send a new Telemetry part, which would take about 5 days to arrive (just like Casbar). They gave me a new 1250rt as th...

Re: SOS icon and amber triangle on
Thanks fellas, bike is booked in for the 28th hopefully the dealer will get it sorted, to be fair they have been pretty helpful up to now. Doing the Ride to the Wall on the Saturday, so don`t want any hiccups. Cheers Bob.

SOS icon and amber triangle on
Hi, In march this year I traded my `14 RT LC ( never had a problem with it really), for a 69 reg 1250. Not done very many miles since march. Out for a ride about 6 weeks ago and the amber warning triangle on the upper dash kept flashing on and off and so did the SOS warning in the lower dash. But af...

Re: Tyre Pressures Again
I agree. Normally go on digi gauge. But I was surprised that the bikes reading was that far out. Not usually that bad. Thought the heat might have caused it. Cheers.

Tyre Pressures Again
Decided to go for the first ride in while yesterday. Checked tyre pressures, and using foot pump (which is usually pretty good) set them to 2.5/2.9 , off I went. I had the tyre pressure set into the dash and soon it was showing 2.2 and 2.6 and it showed that for 30 mins. So came home. Today I though...

Re: Numb Bum
Hi, After seeing one of the guys at a Xmas RTE with a `coolcovers`on his GS, I got one for my 2014 RT. I kept it on all the time and found it helped make things a bit more comfy all the time, not just when it was hot. Really good on the RBLR1000. Same cover fits on the 1250.Cheers.

Re: FJR1300 V's R1200RT
Hi, I had an 08 FJR, put a z technik screen on and it was great. But it didn`t have cruise control (they do now) and I think that is a must now for long touring. Had a 2014 Rt and now have a 1250. Both are great bikes, better speced than the FJ, I think more agile, and the stock seat more comfy. Wou...

Hi, hearing about the interference of the 307 makes me feel better, I thought it was me being picky. Will definitely check out the SW M ranges. Cheers all.

I watched a video of one of the SW Motech bags, looks nice, might go with them as I couldn`t see a strap on them. Cheers all.

Re: R1250 Tank Bag
Thanks guys, I did try the Givi XS 307 tanklock (didn`t actually fit it) but it seemed very long, also it had a strap that I think was supposed to go round the bars but I didn`t like that, shame as it was a good deal. I like the tanklock idea though. Will look at Hepco as well. Much obliged.

R1250 Tank Bag
Hi, Can anyone recommend a tank bag for the 1250RT. I`m thinking of about 10 litres or so. I had the BMW R1200 tank bag before I moved up to the 50, but didn`t really care for the straps. Cheers.
