Re: Denali Sound Bomb
Hi, You don't say where you are, but in UK we have an excellent supplier of all things Denali - Nippy Normans. They supply a bracket which uses the bolts you mention. It is difficult getting much room to work though and I remember having to work the bolts out a flat at a time.&a...

Denali Sound Bomb
I did my research and bought one. It should be plug and play. I only found two slightly off base videos on installing one on my 2017 RT. Removing the OEM horn is straightforward. But as far as I understand it I have now to remove one of the two main frame bolts above the suspension. The supplied bra...

Re: Windshield difference?
If you are talking about the 2014 onward Wethead RT's, then BMW supplies the short Sports shield (46 63 8 562 239) , the standard (46 63 7 728 677) and the tall [curiously called the Comfort Screen] (77 33 8 543 540) [size=2...

Re: Cylinder head guards or crashbars
You could always spend money and have both bars and head protectors. Nippy Norman’s are promising Machine Art Moto head covers that work with Wunderlich bars ( assuming you prefer these)

Re: Cylinder head guards or crashbars
I also mused on which to buy. The head covers look good but I doubted they offered much protection in a fall, only to prevent scrapes maybe (IMHO). So I went with RG- Racing adventure bars. They are easy to fit, I think they are unobtrusive and disappear into the bike (mine is black and white) and I...

Re: Cell phone mount for a 2015 R1200RT
I have a 2017 RT. This is what I use for my IPhone 6SPlus . The phone twists on and locks securely. There are other similar systems. I use a cable from the front accessory socket for power through a dual usb socket. I also bought a braided charging cable with a 90o connector. There are many many way...

Rear PowerSocket
There is a power socket nestled under the rear seat for the pillion. Can anyone inform me as to what current it draws please? (the manual is silent). My wife has a pair of heated Gerbing gloves and a heated Gilet (SHMBO likes to be warm). We have failed to get these to work so I am guessin...

Re: Screen spoiler
I am also interested in the experience and responses here. I ride a 2017 Wethead. I am 5’9 with a 29” inseam. I rode 6,000 miles this summer around Scandinavia with my wife as pillion. I experimented with two after market clip on spoiler screens from MRA. I settled on taking the larger one. It sort ...

Re: NAV V from GSA to RT
I think you mean control of the Nav by the wonder wheel? If so then yes you lose a fair bit with an RT (I moved form an S1000XR). On the RT you have to use the menu button on the handlebar and push several times through menus to get to control of the Nav by the wonderwheel. You can shorten this proc...

Hi folks: I have been looking for a comms system for my 2017 r1200rt which has the radio and NAV VI. I have a SHOEI Neotec II helmet and I see that Sena has the new SRL Bluetooth Communication System that is specifically designed for use with this helmet. I am wondering if anyon...
