Re: Screen options on RT LC
I often get customers asking about a screen that keeps rain off them. The answer I give isn't likely the one they want to hear! First of all, if your gear allowed you to get wet it isn't the screens fault it is the gear not doing its job for whatever reason. I have some pretty good rain gear that I...

Re: 2018 RTLE Handling.
I will contact them again, the problem is I can't plan ahead and need to be able to go as it fits last minute.. I am off to Spain soon and am not looking forward to it, the bike just doesn't make me happy.

Re: Screen options on RT LC
Also, maybe try posting on this forum https://www.bmwlt.com Its more US based, but has a few UK contributors, but they probably have a lot of experience on screens, plus the guy who owns Werks posts on there, so he maybe able to comment. Thanks, will try that, will be interesting to see what he says.

Screen options on RT LC
So I read all the info on peoples choices for screens but all the comments are about wind noise or turbulence, nothing about rain. So what's the feeling on best screen for wet weather riding? I rode back through Spain over Easter and my Werks Quiet Ride is useless, the rain curled around the edges o...

Re: 2018 RTLE Handling.
Just as an update, I called the dealer I bought the bike from and asked if I could pop down so they could have a look, a mere 10 mins out of their day! But no, they are too busy I need to book it in.... I had hoped that the After Sales on a BMW motorcycle was better than their cars, but clearly not,...

Re: RT Stripes.
I'm waiting for prices to do it with paint, proper old fashioned pin striping. Hopefully it won't be too expensive, especially as I'll have to remove the paint protection film.

Re: RT Stripes.
That is nicely done, those stripes on a white bike would look ok I think.

Re: 2018 RTLE Handling.
Hi Bandytales, no unfortunately that isnt my bike, I'm trying to find who did the striping as I think it looks really good. I have been talking to a local guy about doing it for me. Typically I have already put the clear protection on all the paintwork.

Re: 2018 RTLE Handling.
I would have said the bike was new and now has 2940 miles, so the issue has been since the first time I rode it. I dont remember feeling the same issues on the demonstrator, there is no way I would have bought it. But of course, when riding a demo bike there are so many things going through your min...

Re: 2018 RTLE Handling.
I have R1200RT LE 2018 and confirm that if you move the head stock, even with the front wheel on the ground parked on centre stand it is free and easy (effortless). No sticking, clunky or resistance. Is the steering lock working ok, going on and off? As said damper looks undamaged, no obvious obstr...

2018 RTLE Handling.
Hi All, so I've had the RT for 8 months now and have done 3000 miles, I still feel the handling is wrong somehow. I had a 2016 1200RS before and loved riding it but the wife didn't. :not: Slow speeds on the RT is hard to keep in a straight line and it feels like it has tight head bearings,...

Yes please, I'd like to see what others may have done. I'd like to break up the mass of white a bit, nothing OTT but something.

My thoughts exactly, this was on a google image from some German site I think. It does give the bike a little something. I'll look at the Hornig site.

RT Stripes.
Has anybody seen this striping option and know if its available? I think it looks really good, I'd love to have it on mine.
Thanks, Phil
