Bar-end mirrors, folding Naploeon style

If you are using these, how did you mount them? With the bar-end weight (how?) or direct into the handlebar, skipping the bar-end weight? Pleased with the end result? [Please don't reply unless it is specifically related to the question - no need for info on any other style, type or kind of mirror, ...

Passenger seat bag - flavor of the day? Kriega 30 or...?

Going on a solo long-ish trip in a couple of weeks and thought that a decent bag for the passenger seat would be a good idea. The Kriega looks good (if not inexpensive), and I've had great experiences with their other gear. Any thoughts for or against the 30L bag? Alternatives? (Before anyone sugges...

Front wheel ABS/Speed sensor - replacing

It looks like I have to replace my damaged ABS/Speed sensor - does anyone happen to know where the non-wheel end will plug in? It's quite a long lead which disappears under the fairing & could plug in nearly anywhere.  I assume I have to disassemble half the bike but it would be nice to know in ...

SOLD... Speed Bleeders - new in package

Originally bought for an R1200RT, the same SpeedBleeders fit various model BMWs. Sealed in the original packaging, so obviously never installed, the prices shown are the original purchase price. $45 for all items shipped to ConUS from 70503 - saves roughly $25 ($10 + shipping + tax) All bleeders are...

Terrible, so I usually leave the excess 360L at at home, along with my fat non-typing thumb;)

Re: For Ilium rear crash bars users only...

Not a fan of bike cleaning or wire brushing anything, I'd rather be riding:)

Perhaps the difference is that I very rarely ride with the bags mounted. Just the 29L topbox for daily riding around, and the panniers and 409L topbox for longer trips.

Re: Additional mirror

2018RT - don't know about earlier models.

Also, if you have a Jurock screen, the mirrors fitted to the "pipe clamps" idea won't work as the stem fouls the screen.

Re: Additional mirror

And if you don't want an extra mirror, but do want a place to mount a RAM ball, these 'pipe clamps' as BMW calls them work perfectly.

For Ilium rear crash bars users only...

When riding with sport riding friends, I usually leave the bags at home and remove the rear crash guards - they are there to protect my bags in the event of a low or zero speed drop, not to protect in the event of a lowside. When I remove the crash guards there is usually some light rust or discolor...
