Re: Alpine White

Cheers yorkie mine must be that too. Paint sprayer was just concerned as he could not find it listed as a colour for 2018. Yours obviously is a 1250 whilst mine is the wethead 1200

Alpine White

I have a 2018 R1200RT and the log book states Alpine White.
Looking to spray the top box but the paint sprayer says that they only did Alpine White until 2014 then it was Light White. Does anybody else have a 2018 R1200RT that is Alpine White?

Re: Bucking Bronco

Just been out for a run for half hour still riding same. Let it tick over for a good couple of minutes and ran fine. Felt both cylinders and they seemed to be firing ok, however I noticed than when blipping the throttle it was popping a bit which I am sure it has not done before although, I am not i...

Re: Bucking Bronco

No, I take it that is some sort of diagnostic tool? Is it expensive, or worth getting?

Bucking Bronco

I have a 2010 1200RT and unfortunately the local dealer has dropped the bike dealership in Guernsey so nobody with diagnostics. Over the last 6 months my bike has developed a fault that is getting worse. Once warm and under power it seems to miss and jump making it extremely uncomfortable to ride. A...

Re: Oil level window

Glad to get her back! Better in my garage than theirs. Now just put her back together and polish her up. Then wait for some good weather to get back out on the road. Best bike i have ever owned.

Re: Oil level window

Yep, not good. Just got the bike back. Took over three weeks and they charged me £157 and it looks like it was left outside at least once. Won't be going back there. Busy taking all the panels off now to give it a good clean and wire in a new GPS.

Re: Oil level window

I would be quite happy with that! But knowing our local dealer i think it will be a lot more. I may be pleasantly suprised. Will post when I find out.

Re: Oil level window

Sorry must have missed it! I should get a call from the dealer this week. Just so I am forewarned it went up there with the oil drained, side casings off and old seal out. I have asked them to press a new seal in then I suppose they will want to fill it up with fresh oil to check it. I  can...

Re: Oil level window

No did not heat it up, (didn't think of it) left a smear of oil on inner surface and gently tapped with a rubber hammer.

Re: Oil level window

Tried to put the new seal in with a 30mm socket and rubber hammer. Half way in and the glass cracked. I have seen other members that have gone through several seals before getting one fully home so decided to get the bike picked up and let the dealer do it. It will obviously cost me an arm and a leg...
