Re: Another Satnav Lock Option?

Yes, it is such a neat solution, think I would have done it if I wasn't hanging on to the Nav IV & then anticipating moving over to an app and phone / iPad. Absolutely agree with you re "thanks again BMW", fantastic machines but BMW let themselves down in certain areas, I will post a r...

Re: Here we go - 1250 Calliper issues

Thanks Casbar, Still very early days for mine but will keep an eye on it too and mention at first service this Thurs. Won't be such a big step up for you when you get your 1250 but I'm absolutely luvvin the engine and ridebe , if admittedly reminiscing about the better build qualit...

Re: Retired or about to retire?

I was an 'ole man' as a youngster but perhaps I didn't mature further, as now a big kid @ 62  :alas: Had an R100RT @ 25 after a Honda CD 175 & Triumph bonneville 750.  Sold the RT @ 32 due to marriage and the 'Skirted General' worrying too much, understandably as she had lost f...

Re: Mandatory speed limiters

Watching the BBC News this morning, they covered a story about all vehicles all be fitted with speed limiters in the UK from 2022. They talked about cars and lorries but didn't mention motorbikes. However, the article on their website states all vehicles. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-4771541...

Re: Mandatory speed limiters

I've got a Mondeo with sign recognition on it - pretty good most of the time and shows more than just the speed limit signs - it can show up to two different signs at once although I have to say, it doesn't always do that.Just waiting for it to be collected this morning as I am retiring today&n...

Wunderlich Handlebar bag purchased from Nippy Normans ****SOLD****

A great little handlebar bag in very good condition. It is I believe the same bag as advertised on Nippy Normans: https://www.nippynormans.com/r1150rt/wunderlich-handlebar-bag-r1200rt-to-2013-k1600gtl-r1200rt-lc-2014-on-r1250rt As noted in the reviews I do not believe this bag is a good fit for R120...

Re: Givi UT810 Tanklock bag

BMW Tank bag for R1200RT with Tank Bag rails (2005-2013 models)

Sadly parting with this genuine BMW Tank Bag following a move from 2010RT to 1250RT.  The bag is really well made, has plenty of room, can be expanded & is in good condition.  It is tailor made for the tank rails, fits securely and very easily. BMW should never have discontinue...

Re: Green Card

Got an email from Hastings today to let me know that I might need a green card to ride abroad after March 28th. They mention that's its only valid for 15 days (but can be extended) and has to be delivered by post rather than email. I'm off to Spain in May so will have to make plans to get one, they...

All very strange, as my 1250 wasn't registered when I arranged the change of insurance (from 1200 to 1250) but it was to take effect once the bike was registered......
